We live in a nice suburban neighborhood. One summer our son stayed with us for a couple months. As a broke college student he drove a very old and ugly vehicle which he parked on the street. We received a letter in the mail asking us very nicely to please remove the “abandoned” car as it “detracts” from the nice look of the neighborhood. It was handwritten by either a child or an elderly person and the stamp was a picture of a Purple Heart (intended to pull at our heart strings?) It was not signed and no return address. I was so angry that whoever it was would try to manipulate us and did not have the decency to come talk to us about it that the letter went straight into the garbage can. Let’s talk to each other!!!! We could have worked something out!!!

I agree with the dog barking all day and night because my neighbors dog does that and it is annoying and should be talked about. Just like loud cars, music, fireworks etc. Nowadays your considered a Karen if you say anything about it though 🤦

This all makes me so sad. I'm old enough to remember when we could TALK to our neighbors about things, to resolve CONFLICTS of which the other might not even be aware, in order to keep the PEACE. Don't we all really wish for PEACE in the place where we live? Everyone is either too scared to approach each other, or too willing to START A WAR in the very places where we seek refuge at the end of our long, hard days. Why so much hostility, y'all? We're all the same, just struggling to survive. Reach out! Start a civil dialog instead of lobbing grenades at each other. Just sayin'. . . take the high road and make amends. We used to depend on our neighbors. Now we don't even know their names.

I live next to a house that became a rental after my neighbour passed away. It is a blight in the neighborhood. Grass unmoved,na growing trash heap behind the garage. I empathize with some of these. Leaving a note for assigned parking is not being nasty or unreasonable either!

They will find the owner and they are fined until the mess is cleaned up..a ' note" won't work...get the city involved...there may be an attorney that will tell you what you should do ..or the Dept of Sanitation, Health dept...........ask till you get an answer..all that tall grass and crap draws rats and snakes!! 35 years in Pest Control...you should have to go into and treat some of these dumps so cheap landlords can rent without much effort 😠🤨💩

So this guy moves in to a spare room on Jan 1 st. And he is finally leaving on June 1st. He was told rent is due the first of every month, this included utilities no excuses no exceptions. He has not paid rent in 5 months. Like I am supposed to just let him live here for free. Nope buddy it means you rent not mooch off of everyone until you are evicted. I am not sorry to see the guy go. He owes $2500.00 in rent and utilities. The first week he was here he had another guy and girl and their babies living in the room with him. I have never been so glad as to see these squatters go. Mean while my utilities went up by $300 a month and has eaten into my savings, not to mention they were borrowing food and drinks they never intended to replace. He really had a lot of nerve saying he didn't know he had to pay rent. WOW this guy is a real genius.

Take him to court for unpaid rent. Charge for the family too as well as the $300 utility bill. Look up how to go about that for small claims court and what you will need to show proof. If you rent the room again, have all rules about how many people can be in there and tell him/her the food in the kitchen is off limits and provide an apartment size refrigerator/freezer in the room along with a shelf for canned goods or whatever. Take a vid of the room before and after the rental of the room. If one month is late and they say nothing, start eviction through the court.

If there's usually 6oz ice in a 12oz iced coffee, and you want no ice and a full cup, you are asking for double the product for free. Sub shops don't give double meat for free. $1 is a freaking BARGAIN...if you're into room-temperature dairy. *ick*

IMHO it doesn't matter if the DD is justified or not, it's a totally douche public relations move to save a few centavos. If I were the regional and saw that in one of my stores, the manager would be demoted to cleaning toilets! It's a lousy example, gives the wrong impression, makes people want to go somewhere else and is just plain rude.
