Wow. I worked at WKKN(am)/WYFE(aka Y95 fm) in the late 70s/early 80s. I think that building is gone. Talk about weird, imagine Ozzy et. al. out there in the middle of a corn field for an afternoon interview before a show at the Metrotunnel.

A LOT of great memories for me in that building. Sad to see it as it is now. Will never forget the great friends and co-workers who roamed the halls.

My cousins used to live so close to these stations that you could hear WROK through their light switches. Like your concept. It could also be cool to show up with someone who could tell a story about working there or something related to the station.

You should go to the abandoned clock tower hotel in Rockford. I was their yesterday. You should explore it. It was the one with the shooting.
