Great video! I have Beautyland and Glorious Exploits. Hoping I enjoy both. Brainwyrms…I’m not sure if I want to read it in or not.i just read Tell Me I’m Worthless last month and while I found it clever, it was also a tough read for me. I can’t imagine what Rumfitt’s writing is like when they’re actually trying to disgust you. 😅

Yeah, at just after the halfway point Alison Rumfitt asks her readers to take an intermission, get some fresh air because it's about to get serious fucked up and I'm like, what was a warm up? It's intended to disgust you; but her first novel (Tell Me I'm Worthless) while still a bit out there, is much more what you're expecting of a punk horror novel.
