He said that you couldn’t do it in the Alpha build, so I doubt in the final build they would remove collision boxes, my guess is, it was probably an unforeseen bug with their collision boxes, which could’ve been caused by the updating of the engine in which they were working in, it can cause strange bugs to occur that weren’t originally there before. I have had the same issue happen to me in Unity when opening the same scenes in an updated version of Unity, suddenly collision boxes weren’t doing what they should’ve been doing. That said it could be any reason really, maybe they misplaced a collision box during development, or perhaps they inverted it, but I doubt it was intentional.

It was gonna be destroyable and be shredded with bullets similar to battlefield and how you can destroy buildings. But this got forgotten about so it remained as just a visual part of the map. It was supposed to be edited so visually you see it being destroyed. But the furthest it ever got was removing the collision

Coming from someone who has mild familiarity with IW4 radiant (the engine CoD is built on), certain textures will have unique properties like plywood being wallbangable or glass being transparent. My guess here is that the texture used somehow has no collision whereas the previous one used did.

As a cod the cod god 141-13medic I can tell u that activation just listened to the people left it in for like if I remembering correctly for like three months after Alfa released it was foxed then they changed it back because too many people were complaining that people can camp terminal and holed it really well so they understand we where not having it with the game and the campers at the time so after someone complaints they just changed it back. And ya they did just imported the map and updated the "upped the graphics" for MW3.

They didn’t directly port any map from modern warfare 2 to mw3. Almost all glitch spots were clipped and there were lots of places you could get in mw2 you couldn’t in mw3. All barrels got clipped and more. Kinda crazy they overlooked that one

They probably forgot to setup the collisions boxes (if you want walls to have curves you have to setup multiple box colliders cuase most engines dont support curvy collisions except sphere and capsules and you cant be inside those)

Even on MW3 2023, if you throw a grenade under the jet bridge, it will damage or kill whoever is inside of it. And the same way works if you’re under the bridge and someone throw a grenade inside it.
