Thanks for sharing. I really enjoy your positive and upbeat attitude. Humor has gotten me through a lot of tough times in life and I’m glad that you always find a way to make fun of your difficult situations. Gross, but I would have loved to see Lump #1 get popped! All of Dr. Pimple Popper’s subscribers can’t be wrong? It’s a thing! Good luck with finally resolving your ongoing fight with pseudomonas. Tricky bastard.

Maybe they didn't mean that the new lungs will be infected with Cystic Fibrosis, maybe they just meant that the new lungs can get the same infections that were in the old CF lungs.

I had some antibiotics a few years ago and as women we know antibiotics aren’t great for us, without tmi. But these ugh, set pots off. I felt rough to begin with & I’m usually so so careful to read the information leaflet etc. that time, I didn’t. I didn’t find out until I’d almost took the full course it said not to lay down after taking them ooops! I had been because of pots🙄 I still remember how crappy I felt and you’re having far, far worse one 💚🤍💜 Talking about broken sleep for treatment & checks, I think waking up in the night especially to find a nurse or dr looking at you, especially with a little torch is creepy 🤣 I did have a few nights where the nurses put the ECG stickers etc on me before I went to sleep to save disturbing other patients during the night when pots sent my numbers off. It’s common in the uk to be a few patients in a ward. If someone has reduced immunity they’re usually in a room on their own. They used to be huge long wards, with tables down the middle and about 20 beds. Patients sat in bed, their covers tucked in, no creases allowed. Watched over by strict nurses and dreaded matrons! In my local hospital it’s usually 6 or 4 in a ward, other hospitals can have whatever works for them 😀

I'm sorry you've had to deal with that! I'm super lucky that I always get a private room in my hospital. I haven't had a roommate in years, private rooms are so much nicer!

The same bacteria that were in my old lungs are still in my sinuses, so my new lungs can still get infected with those bacteria.

Why don't people people get lung transplant for cystic fibrosis when isn't cure For CF.
@KerEliana2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what you're asking? If you're asking why don't more people get lung transplants, it's because lung transplants are very dangerous and are only done if someone is going to die without it.
