Back in August of 2000 when I was 12 years old, my mom and I visited Disney World in Orlando for a few days. We went to go see "Doug Live", and my mom let me go to one of the front seats in the theatre while she sat a little further back. Before the show was set to start, this lady came out on stage to greet everyone in the audience, and said that she was looking for some volunteers to be part of the show! She had all the kids in the audience say a line that would be spoken by Quailboy in the show, and she picked me for the part! She also chose a few adults in the audience to play The Beats. I got brought backstage where a group of castmembers helped me get into costume and explained what my part in the show would be. I also got to meet Porkchop who greeted me and said that he would accompany me onstage for my part, and he also gave me my que to say my line. I was a big fan of "Doug" back when it aired, so this was like a dream come true for me lol!

By the standards of the day, I would say it was. I remember when Pirates of the Caribbean came out and people were so concerned that it would be a little too violent or dark for the Disney branding. Ace Ventura is definitely a weird inclusion when it would have seemed "raunchy" in 1995.

@@rcrramos8242I’m actually not sure about that. I think a ride that is similar to Alien Encounter would actually still do good today if it was done correctly and with as much or better care. It’s Tough To Be A Bug is closing, but also keep in mind that it’s being replaced with the same (and with Disneys recent track record possibly worse) experience of a 4D theater show. Maybe the best idea would be to make that ride system of Alien Encounter apart of an entire experience. As elaborate as it sounds, it would make for an awesome pre show/ride idea that lead to an even bigger dark ride, Rollercoaster, etc.

I was around for all of these things over the years minus the circus ones/dreamfinder one. The goosebumps and TMNT shows were my favorite. I was a big fan of the books and often got picked potentially due to being one of the only little girls that wanted to get their hand sawed off. If you were picked you missed most of the show so I have no real recollection of it other than sounds/dialogue. HOWEVER: you got your own experience in the back in exchange. They walked you through how every trick worked, showed you the mechanisms in the hand trap/box of nails. You also got to meet the characters backstage which was super fun. They terrified me but it was also really cool to have your own private meet and greet in the back while you waited to go on stage again. While most of this may somehow seem weird if you didn't live in that era: all of these things were hugely popular at the time and did very well with the teens that eisner wanted to draw in. Doug Live being the most popular of everything mentioned here (I hated doug so..that one didn't get me). Tarzan rocks was really the least popular one. Most people, myself included, only went to see it due to the skate stunts having such a high range of wipeouts. That show was a mess...

Ace Ventura had a kid’s cartoon. I don’t remember much of it, but I recently saw an episode of The Mask that did a crossover with Ace Ventura, with a whole scene of Ace talking out his butt. So I could imagine Ace’s series was more of that. But it looks like Deadpool is now topping that with some edgy jokes.

I don't remember much of what was there before, but I do like Storybook Circus. I just think it could use another themed flat ride or two. Still, an actual version of Toon Town would be a great replacement.

MGM Studios had a "great" Dick Tracy show. I think you can find videos of it online.

I vaguely knew about it, but I wasn't sure if it was more streetmosphere vs show. I'm not even sure if I should have even included the Ninja Turtles
