I just moved to Georgia from England. Moved into the Saburtalo area. The library and the skybridge are genuinely incredible.

I hope you enjoy. Maybe we will meet in the local pubs.

There are lesser known things similar in Saburtalo. But hidden in plain sight. Im thinking of making another video on them when I get time.

@@daikidetbilisi I plan on doing something similar. I explored some unique things in Armenia before coming here as I was there for 8 months. I'm a photographer/videographer so these areas are rich in subjects to explore and capture.

Very interesting video! The building of Bank of Georgia is a great example of how we can renovate old ugly buildings into something iconic

Truly monumental. The former archaeological museum looks especially beautiful. I must admire the reliefs and mosaics on some of those buildings.

extremely interesting video. i was genuinely wondering why all the buildings look like that. do you think tbilisi archi will become more 'modern' in the future?
@daikidetbilisi11 ай бұрын
Thanks! Feel free to subscribe - more of this sort of content coming in the future. Tbilisi has such varied architecture due to its extensive history which included being occupied briefly by many different cultures. This era was no different. The current trend aligns with European capitals - tall glass buildings and cladded high rise - less concrete for sure. This, I suppose, was the modern version of that era. Inital post war rebuilds were prefabricated. I went to a school built in the 50s in the UK. Its still up today. The difference is, the rebuilding happened extensively here to suit the new industrial needs. Hence more of it.

@@daikidetbilisi ahh i see i am from uk too. what part of tbilsii would you say most looks like central london all i have seen is vake and sab that resemble it slightly
@daikidetbilisi11 ай бұрын
@@JMPComps hard to say. Ive never been to London for longer than a day. Id say Vake has the most modern European capital feeling to it for sure. Sololaki and Vera are the most old school, slightly eroded but very interesting areas.

I think it will look more modern because as you can see how they modernized the concert hall near Rustaveli station
