Fun Fact: Chet's haircut was actually Bill Paxton's idea. He thought it was perfect for the kind of asshole he was supposed to play. Better yet, he didn't tell anyone he was going to do it. So he just showed up on set like that out of nowhere and everyone just died.
@sirjohnmara4 ай бұрын
Haha! For Once "A fun Fact" was very fun! RIP Bill Paxton. BTW: "Call me by your name" is dedicated to him, he was in Italy on vaccation and hang around the set, helped out and just gave everyone good advice (without taking credit for it) and was generally a very nice guy I've heard. So when he died, they dedicated that movie to him.

Bill Paxton (Chet) decided Chet needed an Assshole Haircut, so he went out and got the douchiest haircut he could think of and showed up for filming. Very much wasn't what Director John Hughes was expecting, but he ended up loving it. One of the best improvised additions to character design by an actor in the history of film.

The concept is pretty interesting as it starts out with two guys who have no social skills wanting to create a program (initially) that can be used to practice how to approach a woman for successful dating. I mean, think about it, you could have it based on the idea of percentage and odds in that you would type what the latest fashion trends are, popular music, social interests and background, historical geographical interests in terms of what type of men women of a certain region go for and use this and more to test what would be your best chance to approach a woman of a certain style and look in terms of what to wear, types of music you should show interest, conversational starting point and so on. Its not that far fetched in today's AI and Apps world.
