1:26 in the Netherlands actually MacDonalds tells us that saus is as American as it can get. U can buy it in the grocery stores as American fry saus. Like why doe's MacDonalds serf it. All my life i just wanted mayonaise by my fries not some fake American saus, that everyone thinks is typically American but is actually dutch MacDonalds not American. If your truly dutch u wont eat MacDonalds fries anyways. Cause their basically trash compered to Dutch or belguim fries. Edit: i think MacDonald fry's is what gets served in the Germanic hell.

Vla kinda sucks Dutchies...Sorry to say. BUT as desert is not high on your list (more popular now as tastes move on with generations.) I see many more desert options in the stores. Ice creams, candy and specialty deserts, custards, cakes (taarts) ect.

As a Dutchie my favourite used to be the stroopwafel mcflurry, but I think it’s been over a decade since they served that one. Also, sometimes during the wintertime they have deep-fried prawns with chili sauce, it’s so good!

Just a reminder for a recommendation: For Dutch streetfood, you have to try Hema rookworst. It's a smoked sausage and you can find it at the store HEMA. It's very delicious and flavorful. Just make sure you buy them 'cooked' ( or cook them at home).

Haha, the cherry tomatoes usually come with a Happy Meal. You can pick between cherry tomatoes or apple slices. these particulair ones are also called snoeptomaatjes (candy tomatoes) because they're sweet and easy snack on (snoepen is a verb similar to snacking in Dutch), not because they're candied.

if that chocomel only has 48kcal per 100ml it's not the original chocomel, you got the "0% sugar edition" in that bottle, which has skimmed milk + artificial sweeteners. it should have 87kcal per 100ml. which makes 870kcal per liter. it's extremely rich in calories but so good.

Big Tasy used to be exactly the same as in Germany but with the white emmentaler cheese instead of cheddar/american. But they now just use one or two QP patties instead. The Netherlands simplified Mc Donalds a lot and I prefer German or French Mc Donald's lots over ours.

The cheese on the Big Tasty burger in the Netherlands is actually German emental cheese. They also used to have this in German McDonalds, but they changed it to cheddar cheese a few years ago.

I've always loved the McKroket, never went to McDonald's without ordering one, but inflation killed my fondness for it. When I was a young teenager, there were instances where I could get this thing for 50 cents, but nowadays, this baby bun that hardly fills the stomach of a 10-year-old costs more than 3 euros. I got one not too long ago for old times' sake, the taste was also different than how I remembered it a couple years prior. You could say they fattened the price and worsened the product, but what else is new.

tbh as someone who worked at mcdonald's for 2 years, often times the icecream machines arent actually broken, ppl just can't be bothered to clean and refill them, which doesn't even take that long, but it can be annoying if you have other stuff to do aswell

McDonalds got super pricey nowadays. When the McKroket came out it was like €1.25 and it was a €uro Special burger for an insanely long time. That's why it's been on the menu for so long because people would just order 4 of those instead of 1 Big Mac. That's why it looks a bit simple and cheap. Regular 'Broodje Kroket' you can find at fastfood shops, come with a mustard sauce (McD's NL has their own version of it) and it's generally not eaten with anything else aside from the bun, the Kroket and the mustard sauce. When the Chicken Big Mac was a limited time special, they had a better patty for it than the current one (which is exactly like the one from the McChicken). That one was much better. We've had the McRib for quite some time and that thing was absolute fire. Such a shame it's no longer available here. Best item McD's has hands down.

In Israel, there is the 'Mega Mumbai'. It is basically chicken tenders with curry sauce on a hamburger bun with lettuce and veggies. I think it is the best macdonalds burger (next to the mckroket and the simple cheeseburger)!

When we order at mc Donalds i always take the mc kroket . I love it . The sauce is Mustard sauce. I also go for the fish burger. What is also suprisingly good is the veggie burger.

The quarter pounder in the Netherlands is not dry at all. They changed that a few years ago. Be sure to eat it right away, or the fat gets into the bun. Then it is dry

I don't actually know that many Dutch people that go to the McDonalds. It's mostly tourists or immigrants (that is also why they don't serve it with mayonaisse but with the other weird sauce). Cafetaria/snackbar fries and other snack stuff are far superior (and cheaper) than anything McDonalds has.

The tomatoes are not for dessert, they are just to eat alonside the mcnuggets/fries you find in the happy meal. They changed to vegetables like these (also fresh carrots) to give kids a more healthy meal.

I love a kroket, and even though the Mc version is below par, it's nice to add it at a drive-through (it's the only drive-through kroket I know of). The sauce is just mustard BTW. The Big Tasty is the best burger by far, and the Chicken Tenders are a reasonable (but lesser) alternative to KFC's Crispy Tenders.

First big mistake, you don't eat in your car as much as we don't have the car culture going on. There are still people that do it, sure. But not even near the slice of customers of people as the US would have. You either sit inside the restaurant or outside and eat it there. That's why the McDonalds in the Netherlands makes sure their staff is up to the task and their restaurant as well. They even completely refurbish their entire restaurant every few years to make sure it looks fresh, clean and up to the latest standards and trends. That however doesn't mean they do everything perfectly obviously. Big mistake number 2, you should shake the chocomel good before opening it. This is because the chocomel will by default settle a bit with the cacao settling on the bottom. By shaking properly this gets mixed with the rest again. It does give a better taste when you do this as well. Unlike the US the Netherlands doesn't allow chocolate to be watered down or be even faked. Most of Europe has this idea even. This is why Chocolate tastes like chocolate and not baby puke. Like Hersey's for example. The bag with bite sized tomatoes is for vegans, no one else bothers with them. And that apple pie... yeah that isn't a Dutch one. A Dutch apple pie would taste different and a lot better. Not the junk the McDonalds sells as apple pie... Some of the seasonal burgers are great, but in general I avoid going to these restaurants.
