Hi Ben, I was at the Worthing match ( despite being in the smallest corner lol!), I thought done alright, sometimes you have to do your job (defence) and I think it was a positive result too! Worthing is like a banana skin for us so I was so happy. Keep with the game commentary, I like hearing your perspective and great for my son who plays RB

Solid performance to be honest I'm a left back so watching you react helps me and sometimes I am like you at the start panic and some bad choices so good to know even the good players do it 7/8 outa 10 👊

Yeahhh, wasn’t the best start. I always try being composed but it was more bad decisions than the correct ones at the start. Grew into the game after that💪🏼. Appreciate the comment

6.8 for the lack of attacking involvement, defensively solid which is good for a left back, or wing back in this case, some good tackles and winning nice fouls in the defensive end. Solid game.

Yeah I agree. I played left back so defending is my priority but I’m sure in the next upcoming games I can offer more going forward.

Question for you about defending which confuses me. If you watch professional games say Premier League or Internationals why do players in your position allow the attacking wide players so much space to easily receive the ball and attack? Why not get much closer to them say 2 or 3 yds off and denying them the space? Watching non league this does not happen.

Not a clue. I like watching players like Ashley Cole who’s always on the front foot and attacks a lot. I believe he’s one of the best but there’s not a lot like him anymore. A lot of players like standing off and being extra safe…
