Forehand is the correct way, but it’s NOT a 1 touch.. close your blade and smoother the puck UNTIL it settles down flat, you might need to lower your hands or bend your knees… again it’s NOT a 1 touch movement

Ahhh ok! I'll have to work on that. Thank you for pointing this out bro!

@the_skating_scientist I don't play roller hockey only ice hockey so idk if this is the best advice, but sometimes you should try being more forceful with the puck. Being soft on it with more control is certainly a good thing most of the time but in certain scenarios more power/speed in a controlled way can be really good (like look at McDavid, when the puck rolls like crazy for him it very rarely seems to affect him since it automatically settles as he does his thing). I am saying this because if you tried the previous comments advice to cup it with the forehand ans even that fails then you could try a quick backhand stickhandle like to completely reset the pucks momentum and hopefully settle it as it lands on your forehand a 2nd time. Sorry if this is confusing... I'm basically just trying to say that the previous comment gave really good advice but even that can still fail and you can also consider the quick/powerful stickhandles to reset the pucks momentum and be more commanding of it rather than just hoping it does what you want (but this only works in a controlled way, too much speed/power without proper control of it will make the puck fly away from you lol).
@the_skating_scientist13 күн бұрын
@@CatMelon12 I love this! Thank you for breaking it down the way you did. I think being forceful with the puck makes a lot of sense. I'll def give that a try. Thank you so much for commenting bro! I really appreciate it 🙏🙏🙏

I'm trying to get better at hockey handling and hockey in general and there is no teams around anywhere do you have tips
@the_skating_scientist3 ай бұрын
That's a great question Tina! I'm not an expert but I can tell you what I've been trying to do. Most of my training I do in my kitchen, in the street, or in a nearby parking garage. I watch stick handling and skating videos online and then try to do them at home. But my favorite is playing little hockey shooting and passing games with my girls. Do any of your friends or family like hockey too? I think playing with friends and family, even if you don't have a team, is a fun, great way to start getting better at hockey. I hope this helps! Also, as a dad of two girls, I love that you're interested in hockey - it's not just for hairy brutes like myself 😂

Especially since there is this new trend where people make an edit of some art and then put on blinding flashing lights and then they either don’t put a flash warning on or they purposely put it in the captions rather than before the vid starts to annoy people but I’m just concerned for people with epilepsy.
