I am born and raised in Rochester NY where Wegmans was founded and I have never heard of that term. I will say people are maniacs in Wegmans. It is the greatest grocery store in America

I had a grocery-store date as a teen. We went through the coffee aisle at Kroger, back when they still had the bulk bean bins, and you'd fill up your coffee bag with whatever variety you want... Anyway, we smelled all the beans, choosing the ones that smelled the best to us, then went and got a bunch of 2-liter bottles of store-brand soda. It was actually kind of fun.

As someone that used to have to wrangle carts as a teen and now lives in 100+ degree weather, I always put the carts in the corral.

I never had a job as a cart wrangler, but I am adamant about people putting their carts in the corral. I don't understand why people don't. We do have one store in our area that has very few corrals, and they are spread very far apart in a large parking lot, so in some ways, I blame that company for the number of carts that don't get put away. I still do mine, but I can understand why someone with mobility issues or a parent with small children might not feel it's worth the trek across the parking lot.
