I often ride by a farm, and they sometimes throw out random pumpkins and zucchini; one time, I found 3 yellow/orange cucumbers, they were the biggest I had ever seen (probably 1/3 the size of the one of the video, but very girthy) and I thought they were overripe; nope! Perfectly juicy and crunchy on the inside, with still immature seeds. I had never an immature yellow cucumber!

the weirdest thing is that the variety of huge cucumber that i grow actually has less ripe seeds than you expect from one of its size. you literally have to save quite a few to get enough seeds to survive germination.

I seem to remember Vlassic doing extra large pickle slices at one point. The idea was that one slice was big enough to cover an entire hamburger. So, not as big as what's in this video, but still a pretty good size! Think they stopped selling them, though, which kinda sucks. I would have loved to have eaten a pickle slice that size!

@WeirdExplorer Same as with every other plant in Korea, we make either kimchi or namul (*cooked and seasoned veggies) out of them lol. Ripe cucumbers are rarer and more expensive than usual ones because they need more care - they thin out most of the fruits to ensure good growth, and then the remaining fruits will split before ripening if the climate or soil conditions aren't right - but some people love their dense texture. The closest you'll get in terms of texture is watermelon rind, which as well is kimchiable in Korea ofc.
