Between AOE and TLK, the whole Knight thing gets very confusing. My theory/headcanon is that the Guardian Knights in TLK are totally separate while the Knights Lockdown talks about are actually more akin to Point One Percenters. This theory has its flaws but I think it also solves some things like why Grimlock is one of them. I can't remember which comic it is but, like Optimus, Grimlock was a POP iirc. One problem is that Megatron might be as well yet Lockdown never captured him, perhaps the workaround is that Megatron had died (again) by time Lockdown arrived on Earth so it didn't count
