I would like to welcome you into my cave, it's off grid and very much the home of a modern caveman. Come on in and have a quick browse around. You can find out more about me at www.will-lord.co.uk

What a beautiful space Will, well done mate. I love your artwork. Thanks for sharing it with us.

The artwork along the walls really ties it together and makes it feel like a lived-in space. It always gets to me just how much our ancient ancestors loved to create, decorate, and tell stories as much as we do.

Up to about a century ago charcoal production was typically done in charcoal piles out in the forest. It was important that the piles wasn't allowed to burn so they required a coaler, a person overseeing the process. They typically camped in a nearby shelter similar to this one thou this one are much larger then what the coalers would use.

Out of all the videos on KZbin, yours are some of my favorites. Thank you so much for sharing your appreciation and love for history and the planet, and our relationship to what lies dormant within all of us. Someday I hope to learn the technology of the ancients. Until then I will settle for finding all the clues and artwork they left behind. Minnesota has such a tragic yet beautiful history rich in native, ancient native, and pioneer history I am incredibly privileged to understand and enjoy. Take care Will and thanks again for your knowledge and entertaining videos.

Dude that shelter is awesome great job. Earthen too very smart. Very survivable. I lived in a tee pee for 5 years in neg 30 below winter weather and found out just how durable and efficiant that strructure is. But ive always said that doing that structure at ground level and earthin is about as best as you can get. Takes alot to impress me. Lived out for many years still do. You should be proud of this thanks

Hello again Will.... I love your Earth Lodge.... I keep buying those lotto tickets and if I win the big one I promise to visit you there, if you would allow it for a somewhat creaky 80 year old (almost no one lived that long in the stone ages).... I could bring food....a rabbit or two or something like that?.....Another great vid.... Be well... Blessings.

Its fascinating that many cultures does not have separate words for art and crafts, to them they're one and the same. Practicality and beauty, with the mindset of praising their ancestors with passed down knowledge. I would just like to say i admire you, and you are an amazing inspiration to me. thank you Will.

Very nice work. Your cave looks warm and inviting. Complements from northern Michigan. Working on a frontier style trappers cabin reproduction here, but now I'm thinking I may need your style cave in the pasture area out front. Perhaps on a slightly smaller scale-for use as a sauna or even a root cellar. Very inspiring.
