I went to Berkeley as an international student from Germany. UC Berkeley is such a great place... but you guys deserve also free education like we have in Germany.

I'm heading to Cal this fall :) The only advice I have for you is to be active in some student organizations, athletics, or community service. They also take your transcript into heavy consideration, and they want to see that you can take difficult classes and succeed. And geez, you're only a freshman in HS! Try to have fun in HS too.

I got into Berkeley- and the campus was amazing.. but im scared. I don't know if I'll be too swamped, overworked, and neurotic to enjoy being there. any advice

I've always wanted to go to Berkeley, but now I HAVE to. As an aspiring freshman in high school, can anyone give me any advice or information that can provide me a bigger shot towards attending this dream school of mine. Of course the GPA and SAT is a given, but I'm stuck as to finding something that will make me stand out, or finding something Berkeley in particular would like to see in me. Any advice is mucho appreciated!

the last two coments are from people who could not get in. UC Berkeley is the most prestigious public university in the world, and has the best graduate program among all universities.

I hope you really didn't listen to your college advisor. My grades are high and I have really good extracirricular activities but my SATs aren't extremely high. What's unique about Berkeley is that they will take everything into consideration and you never know what could happen. I hope you applied because anything can happen and if you did, I wish you good luck. I can't wait for my letters!

i understand this is promo but i have not seen one single tattooed person in ANY school video of any higher-ranking uni... i find that really discriminating and narrow-minded. the world does not just consist of un-tattooed super "average" looking people. so i feel forced to ask whomever of you out there actually going to UCB, are there tattooed people out there?
