Nothing flashy but he's a NHL caliber defensemen that still has growth in his game. Thank-you for your time in MTL and all the best in Columbus.

Hab fan here. I like the Trade for the Habs, but Harris a solid player, and by all accounts a solid individual. Victim of a log jam on D. Best of luck Harris.

Habs fan, I was delighted he signed out of Northeastern when he could have gone FA. I enjoyed watching him play for the Canadiens. Good skater, good with the puck on his stick. Figured out his first season how to deal with forechecking pressure in the NHL. He's a NHL defenseman.

Habs fan too. Hate to see him go, but we have a logjam with young D, and I think this was a win-win trade. Wish him all the best and hope he continues to develop as a solid NHL defenseman. I think you’ll be pleased, Columbus.

I wish Jordan all the best. He will be missed in Montréal. This kid is a solid stay home defenseman and will only grow into an awesome player. He will be a good positive addition to the CBJ locker room. He is a good young man... Yes, im a Hab fan.

One can only hope that Waddell can turn this ship around. There’s some talent here. And a relatively deep prospect pool. What we really need is culture, a clear vision that guys can buy into, and a solid system. The rest will slowly start to fall into place. Welcome Jordan, we’re happy to have you 🏒

You won't find a better personality in the NHL, he's a absolutely wonderful human being and a very solid 3rd pair defenseman who can jump into the middle pair. He uses his IQ and skating to both defend and effectively get the puck out of the defensive zone.

This guy is a beacon of light. What a gem of a guy. He ‘gets’ it. Enjoyed his time in Montreal. He will be missed here. Best of luck to Columbus and Harris! You guys will be pleased, he continues to improve. A bit slower and can get caught sometimes, but that’s a learning curve I’m sure. I truly respect Ohio sports fans - the jackets fans deserve a fun exciting team. I think they are headed in a good direction!

Jordan Harris is a consummate professional. He just was pushed out by the many Habs young D prospects with higher ceilings. He'll be a solid 5/6 guy for many years in the NHL who can move up the lineup in a pinch. Good luck Jordan!

Going to miss him, that's the problem with having so many very good D prospects. I think he'll have a nice career. He is a well thought individual, doesn't focus on himself.
@rich.jerkov2 ай бұрын
Habs fan here. I figured Harris would be the odd man out because Struble brings more physicality, which the Habs don't have that much of. However, I wish there was a way we could have held onto him. You're getting a 24yo d-man that is responsible defensively and puts up 20 pts a season with limited minutes. You don't notice during the game, which is actually a very good quality for a 3rd pairing dman. Its means he doesn't cough up the puck, doesn't lose his man or make poor decisions in his own zone. In my book, any dman that can put up over 20 pts (on a full season) while playing about 15-17 minutes, and no pp minute, has offensive abilities. Best of all, he does not look out of place while filling in on the top-4. Also, great guy. Involved in the community. You'll like him.

What I like to notice from these interviews is when someone asks them ''What had you heard about your new team'', always listen to the first thing they say. It's the only one that'll be 100% true and not a cassette tape going off. Laine said about Montreal that ''they have an amazing head coach''. Harris said ''he heard good things on the area where the team plays'' Sound about right.

I completely respect your reply but calling a 26 year old "middle aged" is a bit far fetched. I remember being that young and thought I knew it all. It all comes down to team chemistry and who knows what will come of this trade. Harris was ok in the Habs roster while Laine delt with life issues as a professional player. They'll both make rent and here's to seeing what comes from the teams this season. Cheers Blue Jackets and Go Habs Go!!
