This setting is shockingly, stunningly plausible. I'm very curious about this project and would very much like to read your book. As a worldbuilder myself, I love exploring other peoples' projects and learning about the worlds that they want to create. Your concept is outstanding. Of the fantasy authors I have read, both Terry Brooks (with the Shannara series) and Robert Jordan (with the Wheel of Time) have this premise of their world actually being a post-apocalyptic Earth, where technology was somehow replaced by magic. Brooks comes the closest, and it is fascinating to see glimpses of a dead technological world within the fantasy setting. Your own ideas seem to be even better developed and richer, and I am looking forward to reading your book!

Sword and circuitry. I love it ! It reminds me of Mark Lawrence "Broken Empire" trilogy. But with better world-building. Because I hated how he explained the reason for magic introduction into his world. I'm going to read your book ! That artwork made my mouth water !

did you use ai art for this video and if so will you do more traditional art?

I did use AI art for this. At first I was suspect of AI art, but after playing around with Image Designer, I was impressed by the results. I would much perfer to hire a traditional artist (as they would put in details that AI leaves out and produce images that have more original flavor) but I don't have the budget for that. So I used a tool that I can afford. I did, however, make the images for the maps. Maybe in the future I'll include my own sketches for concepts.

Current history does influence this story, but I'm avoiding getting too specific with current events because that would put a date on my story, and as soon as that date came around in real life, my story would (hopefully) become just another wrong prediction. If I leave the war timeline open and not tied down to times or dates, then this story remains a distant and somewhat possible future (at least in the imagination).
