I was stationed at Ellsworth AFB after I returned duty in Viet Nam in Feb 69 and served there until Aug 70 when I was discharged. I was in the 28th Avionics Squadron as an Electronic Countermeasures Tech. Turned out to be my favorite duty station during my 4 year enlistment. Have revisited Rapid City many time since I was discharged, the last time being in 2016. So many great times there.

I was there in 94-95 my squadron 77BS was retired. A short stint in the 37BS before heading to Dyess AFB. Enjoyed my time in that area and will retire in the black hills area. If you're going there make the most of it and get off base and explore the hills.

Ellsworth was my last duty base when I got out of the service back in 1978-79. I was in the 4th ACCS (Air Combat Communications Squadron) where I was a Radio Operator on board EC-135s.

🐢I remember,served from 61-65 28th.CES,our barracks and shops were in the former Army Nike site.Titans were being phased out, Minutmen were in.👍😎🌴
