Have you ever been to Magnolia? What small Texas town should I visit next? 🤔

Nocona, Texas. It was the home of Vicki Dawn Jackson, a serial killer nurse. I love your videos. I stumbled across them. You're so chipper and fun!!

I just read about her story and that's wild and I think I remember watching about this on Netflix!

You were just in “old” Magnolia. “New” Magnolia goes to the Woodlands. That’s where all your development is. It starts around roads 1488 & 149. It’s on the map as Mostyn, but it’s part of the Magnolia city limits. There’s an HEB and lots of new businesses, as well as residences.

Old Magnolia will get there. It is closely tied to the Texas Renaissance Festival which is also tied to Plantersville and the official town of the renaissance festival, Todd Mission. I love my little town. It’s full of interesting stories.

Driven through there a few times and have friends who live in the area. But I've never stopped anywhere in there to visit. We have a Brookshire Bros in Katy too, right across from the two district football stadiums.

Most residents do not live inside the city limits. You should have driven east on FM 1488 towards I45, that is where the new growth is.

I've never been to Magnolia but in July I'm attending a wedding there. I may be wrong, but I believe Dollar General owns Family Dollar and it's FD that's closing all their stores. Brookshires also goes into small towns but their choices are limited and they're kind of expensive.

I worked for a few Dollar General Stores a long while back as third-key management. The first manager explained to a customer in front of me that Dollar General meant that some items could be found for a dollar, and other than that, it is a general store like really old-school general stores that had a big variety of things. My brother a very long time back, and my younger son quite a while back, had both worked for Brookshires. I believe they are headquartered out of Lufkin, Texas. They expanded all around, but not into Houston. That Brookshires in Magnolia seemed to have some higher prices for a lot of items.
