One last question, (hope I am not getting annoying) but (I’m assuming you have the paid version of Final Cut Pro) but I my question is: When you uploaded you’re first video (using it) did it ask you to let it take “control “ of you’re channel? Like so they could do things like delete videos, and or comment without you telling it to? Thanks.
@peachypetparadise276 жыл бұрын
Actually no, I downloaded it to save me spending £200. I'm assuming you mean KZbin? No it didn't ask me to let it take control because I control the videos. Not sure what you mean by telling it to? You're in control of your videos on youtube so whether you want to delete them or comment on them then that's something you do, not youtube :)

I really need your help. I’m worried about my male Syrian. He’s acting very strange. When I tried to pick him up, he tensed and got really scared of me and flipped on his back. He also stopped grooming himself, so his fur is greasy. His teeth are also chattering a lot. He’s also sleeping way more than normal. And the thing that worried me most is his breathing. His sides are rising and falling rapidly. If you can identify any of these or tell me what to do, I would be too grateful for words. I’m very worried for him.

I would take him to the vet as soon as you can. He sounds very stressed and he also might have a respiratory problem if he is breathing fast

Peachy is there a way I can train my rats to stop walking over the food bowl? They keep on spilling and walking in they're food bowl and I don't have much rat food left Can you help?
@peachypetparadise276 жыл бұрын
How big is your food bowl, large or small? If it's small then it could be that they like to sit and eat and in the bowls. Some rats prefer to eat like that and if that is the case with yours, I would get a much larger and wider bowl :)

Thanks for the beautiful videos you make. I need some advice from you . There are mice in my house in new jersey. I don know what to do with them since it is too cold to release them in the wild. I need some advice, please.
@peachypetparadise275 жыл бұрын
Aw thank you for watching them! I take it these are wild mice? If so, there isn't much you can do, it's not like you can pick them up or keep them captive seeing as they are wild and they will most likely carry a harmful disease which could make you ill. I mean you could if you're careful, try using a cage if you have one and lure them in with some food but as for where to release them, that's up to you. But you can't keep them in that cage either as that wouldn't be fair on them so it's a hard one. If it were domestic it would be much easier to solve but this is a wild matter and it's not best not interfere with the wild

This is a really cool video, it looks really well made and very professional, good job.🙂 I want to ask for advice because I’m getting a hamster for Christmas, and I’m having trouble deciding between a Syrian and a dwarf. I’ve heard myths that Syrians are more social and calmer but I’ve also heard that these are totally fake and I know different hamsters have different personalities. I’m kinda afraid of my hamster biting and since I have a super low pain tolerance, and on Hamster Hideout it said Syrian bites can do more damage and are more painful, should I get a dwarf? I’m so conflicted because there are obvious benefits for both I’m just having trouble choosing.
@peachypetparadise276 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! Typically speaking, Syrians are known as most social out of the 5 species. They have been easiest to tame because of this and slighter easier to hold due to their larger size. But I think it's important to keep in mind that every hamster is different and will end up differently so there is no way to determine your hamster's behavior. I think where you get them from, plays a part in this. If you get any hamster that has been brought up well and socialized from a young age then they are already going to be used to human contact, therefore easier to tame and socialize with. However if you get a hamster from someone who has treated them badly, in poor care and not given them enough attention then they may end up being either terrified of humans or aggressive. Every hamster can bite but it's not very often that happens unless they have come from the wrong place, e.g. bad owner or suddenly woken up from their sleep (which they should not be) or else they could bite you in defense mode. I have owned 7 Syrian hamsters and none of them have been aggressive. I had two roborovskis and one of them was quite nippy but she would never full on bite me so she wasn't aggressive. There was also a time where I got bitten by one of my Syrians but by mistake because I was handling a treat (didn't wash my hands) put my finger straight towards her and of course she thought it was a treat and bit me. Yes it hurt and I had to have a plaster on it but it was an accident and my fault for not washing my hands straight after. I wouldn't worry too much about being bitten though honestly. I wouldn't just get a dwarf just to avoid a more painful bite. If you're a beginner then I would definitely suggest a Syrian just because they are generally easier to be with. But it's up to you :)
@ok-wn5zv6 жыл бұрын
PEACHY PETPARADISE thanks so much for the advice! I’m adopting instead of buying and I actually couldn’t find any Syrians up for adoption. So I chose a dwarf named Gizmo, he’s six months old and already tamed. I really appreciate the advice!

Hi peachy, I just wanted to ask about wheels for rats. I know that the normal wheel isn't suitable because it can hurt a rat's back, but what I wanted to ask was about the flying saucer type. My two rats are getting rather podgy because they don't exercise enough. Would a flying saucer type wheel help them?
@peachypetparadise276 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Yes a flying saucer could help them loose a little weight, although it wouldn't make a huge difference to their weight. But what I also think would be good to consider is using other tactics to helping them loose weight instead of just relying on a wheel. Because there might be other contributors also causing your rats to become overweight. The first one is playtime, so how much playtime are they are getting out of their cage? Are they getting an hour, 3 hours or more? Maybe increase the amount of time they get out of the cage and see if you have a space where they are able to walk a few laps or even run, just so they get that extra bit of exercise as well as their playtime. You could even use stairs (if you have stairs) obviously keep dogs and cats away and make sure stairs are hoovered. But it's a great way of exercising any rodent because they have to use their energy to get up each step and it also gives them the freedom to run and climb which is a very natural instinct in rats. So if you have stairs and your rats are completely tame then I definitely recommend that. Also is their cage spacious enough to allow them to run around? Often if a cage is quite cramped, there isn't much ground space and there's lots of hammocks, it can cause rats to gain weight and just from lazing around. Sometimes this can't be helped because you can get rats that just want to sleep or lay in their hammocks but a cage with better ground space should help them be able to move around more at least. Another source of exercise you could use is scatter feeding. This is not only interactive but is a very a active way of feeding them, you just take their normal food and scatter it around their cage, in toys, in certain hideaways and hammocks. This should keep them active and it's a much healthier way of feeding them and it should also help them loose some weight over time. And the last thing to consider is their diet. If their diet is full of fatty treats all the time then that could easily cause your rats to become over weight and even obese so that's also important to consider. I recommend feeding any fatty teats sparingly so maybe one or two treats every few weeks or so. You can feed the natural ones more often, around every week because natural a lot healthier and less fattening than the sugary treats. Try and be careful of certain natural treats like carrots though as they are high in natural sugars and it's not healthy to be consumed too often either. But most natural fruits or vegetable treats are great to feed and are definitely a healthier alternative to the fatty sugary ones. Hope all these tips help improve your rats weight :)
@linda43able6 жыл бұрын
Yes their cage is a mamble 100, and I have put 2 platforms and a tube in there for them which they do use. I am however, going to get the critter nation single story at first on the 28th of this month and adding some extra bits and pieces for them. With their diet, I am giving them their own food which is a natural rat mix, and I also try to give them plenty of greens too. The problem they have is that they sleep quite alot. But then they are not youngsters. They do get some play time, but I have to have them on the sofa as at the moment I am in a small bungalow. I am going to be moving to a larger place soon, so they can have more space to run around. Even on the sofa though, they just have a sniff around, then go to sleep huddled up. I don't give them any sugery treats as I know this can be bad for them.
@peachypetparadise276 жыл бұрын
Okay well it sounds like they have quite a healthy lifestyle but more space to run around should definitely help. Haha they sound very lazy, bless them :)
@linda43able6 жыл бұрын
They are, very lazy boys lol. I was thinking of changing the cage around so that food is up on the platform. Then they would have to climb up and get it. I might get one of those flying saucer wheels. I want to encourage them to be more active in and out of the cage. Perhaps a playpen of some sort with a couple of boxes and toys for them to climb on and chase round. I will have a look at ebay. They might have something suitable.
@peachypetparadise276 жыл бұрын
