my Hometown ! that's actually very little of what San Antonio Is , there's many attractions , festivities during the year, we have awesome zoo , parks, rivers, (the famous river walk) great food, n all aside, the people and the weather is one of the best , 3 hrs to Mexico's border and 1 1/2 hr to the Beach 🌴, 1 hr to the capital of Texas and entertainment parks like 6 flags, sea world, caverns and much more! thanks for the video!

I'm originally from San Antonio but now live in another Texas City. I took friend back to San Antonio to visit two weeks ago. We both had a great time. I took him on a tour of the River Walk on a boat cruise and walked it. We dined at several restaurants and the best is one restaurant had Live Jazz music. San Antonio is a great place to live and visit. I will move back one day. But until that time I will visit probably every two months. Hotels are great.

I was born at Santa Rosa Hospital down town in 1939. It was like a small town back then. I used to love it but it's so different. Depressing to drive on Southside where l grew up. It's so big now with the freeways all over. I remember when the first one opened Hyw.10. I moved to Brenham Tx almost 2 years ago to live by my daughter. Have no regrets. I have my memories of the way it used to be. I stick with those.

San Antonio is a small town compared to NYC, but it is the 7th largest city in US. We do hope you visit someday. The city is rich in history and culture. World class cuisine and entertainment. Like most large cities, it does have its traffic and crime problems with property crime being at the top of the list. A word of advice, it is brutally hot here in the summer, especially downtown, so try to plan your visit between October and April. I live in what is known here as the Hill Country, about 30 or so miles north of SA. Lots of beautiful, small towns, and lovely scenery. If or when you visit, I hope you enjoy your stay here. I am from Suriname and I stayed for six months in San Antonio, while studieng at the Lackland Airforce Base. It is a friendly town, with beautifull, historic sites and superfriendly people. The climate is also very nice. I will surely return to SA one day!!!!

@13:40 if the driver had turned the camera back and to the left, you would see The Alamo, or at least the Mission structure. In fact before that timestamp where you see stone walls about 7ft (2m+) tall, those are what remains of the inner walls. The Alamo was much bigger than just the classic building front that everyone goes to see. But most of it is gone, torn down.

On the highway you see the Alamodome and the Tower of America’s. In downtown SA you can see the Riverwalk, the red statue is the La Antorcha de la Amistad aka ‘the Torch of Friendship’, Hemisphere park, Henry B Gonzalez Convention Center, the Majestic Theatre, the Shops at Rivercenter, the Crockett Hotel (it’s haunted) and the ALAMO!

Remember that he's driving around on a Sunday, when all the roads are relative ghost towns. Even I-10 is pleasant to drive on a Sunday! Come Monday, however... that's a whole different story. But hey, I've managed to drive downtown during the late afternoon hours on weekdays and I'm still here in one piece, so. (Though I do live near I-10 in the Shavano Park area so I'm kinda used to traffic nightmares, LOL.)

I live in San Antonio born and raised here, I think it's so weird to see it in someone else's perspective on San Antonio but I do enjoy it. Never want to move from here because no other state has Bill Miller's or big red lmao

Lol I don’t ever drive thru downtown because of traffic on 281S and 35, I’m surprised to see how calm it is. Judging from time and date recorded. Sundays is usually peaceful compared to weekdays. Nice vid though
