We Lived at Penguin for a few years. Must have been 30 years ago. I actually owned the local Taxi service. They used to have a minature train there that you could sit on. Great little town. Actually in Tassie at the moment but not really on holiday. Hopefully Next time will be a holiday Great Video

Hi all Loved your visit to Stanley and the Nut! My wife and I visited this area in 2008 and enjoyed the peaceful ambiance of the area. We did a cruise on Arthur River. Unfortunately, we have been unable to return, and my wife is now largely confined to a wheelchair, which, as we are in our 70’s, limits where we can travel. Cheers. George

Hi George, it’s wonderful that you got to experience this beautiful part of the world together. We would love to get over to Arthur River as have never been there 😊

Thanks for sharing your time and experiences travelling Tasmania. We visited for the third time, travelling from Devonport to Huon Valley and back up the East Coast, but first time taking our own car (Camry Hybrid), which is a game changer.Tasmania food, wine, wilderness is mind blowing, and people are so genuine/nice, but due to Tasmania having 500k population, it is so sparse (For example, someone told me Bicheno is the second most populated town on the east coast, but has the street size between St Leonards/Indented Heads in Victoria) . This time we travelled through Tasmania in summer, and this has been phenomenal, and we are now planning to come back next summer to the west coast. If you are a motorcycle rider, we highly recommend coming over to these magnificent quality roads (very rarely see pot holes even in a 'c' road). I can't believe the Tassie government doesn't advertise this beautiful hidden state more. NB: my wife found your ebook helped greatly planning this trip. Thanks for your time and effort putting it together. Highly recommend it to others if you are planning to come to Tasmania

Guys I loved your video. It brought back so many wonderful memories of when my husband and I did a 4 week road trip around Tassie in 2021. Stanley was one of our favourite places to stay. Stayed at Ship Inn which was truly amazing. We did the Tarkine Drive and Trowutta Arch was so amazing and probably our highlight of the drive. Great drone shots by the way as well. Looking forward to the rest of your Tassie travels❤ By the way are your boots from Merry People?

Just a little tip for you from former mainlanders, living here for nearly 3yrs after travelling around tassie for many years on holidays. Find out how the locals pronounce place names cause they are not as the sound. Tarkine is pronounced tarkiiiine not eeen. Happy to help Safe travels.
