Does the American Legion allow and support veterans who are also members of the LGBT?

First and foremost, a Veteran is a Veteran, regardless. There will always be resistance to what others receive as different from them. It's unfortunate. If there is discrimination at the Post level, be the change it needs or find a Post with like minded individuals to build up and support their brothers and sisters. Regarldess.
