Just found your vlog and have subscribed. As a Sandancer I know the Pier well its part of our Heritage. Being nearly 80 I can remember the the Crane and the various other things long gone. Years ago you could catch Cod all along the Pier and off the little Beach. Good luck with your Fishing, l will be watching your Channel with interest and hope you get many Subscribers.

Thank you Pete..I appreciate that alot...I often look at old video and photos of our pier and see the blocks going over the side and the crane building the pier.. I hear the stories too about how often double figure cod would be caught all along the pier.. long gone are those days and I'm gutted I couldn't have fished back them...lucky if we get a 4lbs codling all season there now...cheers Peter

As a fellow sand dancer I would like to congratulate you on the new channel. Great first video and well done getting the coley, but more importantly, well done getting your gear back. Scott I got a 4 pound place off the small beach in the early 2000s, I was placed a couple hundred yards from thee pier. Best of luck, and stay safe.

Oh aye...most definitely mate..its came down in price too...the ci4 is a beast for the price.. especially if you plan on fishing clips and kelp

My pier fishing days are long gone... Too many knackers stinking of piss and blaring new monkey on their Bluetooth speakers 😂 .. the rock marks and beaches north of the Tyne are where it's at now. You can drive there pretty much as quickly as you can walk to the end of Shields pier.

Not so much problems...reel was brilliant....just seemed to struggle massive on the cliffs with anything over 3lbs...I know reels aren't really designed for sheer drops anyway but that ultgera seems to manage a little better
