yeah it's a ways in the death series. First is mort, then reaper man, after is soul music then hogfather and next is the thief of time. not sure if I am missing anything. It doesn't really star death but I would say there is plenty of him in it. The events of Mort are kinda a shock wave felt through the whole of the death series. That is all I am giving for spoilers and it isn't much

but if you are looking for death in the books he is in all of them but 1 and all the books are good. The death series is a good starting place. I have found each series has it's antagonists death's don't pop up till reaper man.

If the auditors of reality didn't do their job, then every imaginative construct would begin to question what they were doing, meaning that they would eventually not continue to do what they were imagined to do. Then all the fundamental basics of human beliefs would be compromised. If imagined constructs started to stray from how they were actually imagined, then how could humans believe in them, as they could not recognise them?

Could that be missing the point more? Then again, I see the same people made two decent adaptations too, so I guess that one detail isn't that indicative of their ability.

It's also a story about a world. And here it comes now, right on cue. This is Great A'Tuin, the Star Turtle. He is ten thousand miles long, as old as time, and as patient as a brick. He is from another universe, and there is no need to tell you that he is a very very rare creature. The great cosmological question of the age is: Where has he come from, and where is he going to? The popular theory is that he is traveling from the birthplace to the time of mating. This is Death's house and that is Death's horse. His name is Binky. For being too much of a personality and having doubts about his job, Death with a capital D has just been fired. But they're letting him keep the horse. And there you have it. At this moment, there is no Death on the Discworld. Death's been fired. No one to swing the scythe and no one to collect the souls. Which means those souls are not at rest. They're neither here nor there. They're what you and I might call... zombies. The fine old rumpus that's going to cause. And that's the story that I'm going to tell you. How life and Death depend on each other absolutely... to be continued...

@@Uatemysoul Horrible shame why there hardly any movies or cartoons based on the Discworld books and we all get was 2 very complicated video games! lmao XD I guess it must be those reasons why Discworld wasn't as hot selling like Harry Potter or Witch Academia, another problem is that the writer of the books died several years ago but he has a relative reported taking over for the rights of the reprints but are there new stories being released?! Will Discworld ever have a real decent comeback with better merchandising and maybe better animated or live action adaptations?

I loved the movies and the book the Hobbit was good but the lord of the rings books were just so damn slow. So much walking. Felt like endless filler. But just imagine if they put the effort and money into Discworld movies that they did into the lord of the rings movies. It could be amazing.
