When Canterbury Cathedral was closed to the clergy by the Archbishop in March 2020 the then Dean, Robert Willis, and his partner Fletcher took to filming daily services in their garden through to May 2022. Usually joined each day by at least one of their cats (Monkey, Lilly, Tiger or Leo) and a whole host of their menagerie from pigs and chickens to hedgehogs and newts and whilst sitting in the gardens through all seasons, this is a wonderful way to switch off and meditate whilst listening to a mix of poetry, recitals, current affairs, music - and of course the daily psalms and readings from the bible which are then explored and unpicked by Dean Robert.

For Morning Prayer Dean Robert uses the Church of England book, “Common Worship Daily Prayer 2005” (Church House publishing). The bible is the English Standard Version (Collins), and occasionally - though always stated - Dean Robert uses the New Revised Standard Version or the King James.

Thankyou for sharing your journey. I've been rewatching your morning prayer videos, I'm currently in March 2021. In November of 2023, Instead of taking notes, I'm sketching the Dean in his surroundings, as he sits still pretty much for 20 min or so, until the camera pans in or out. My sketches and my daily quiet time are enriched. Im slowing getting better at drawing the chickens, and Winnie and piglets, as they move around a lot. The different settings in the garden have been delightful to draw, and I always include the table and teapot. I thought you might enjoy hearing about how morning prayers has enriched my creativity, the garden is still producing much good fruit. Even though it's seasonally winter right now, we learned from you about the plants that bloomed in the winter. Thankyou again Robert and Fletcher for your faithfulness and creativity. I want to thank Fletcher and Dean Robert for the wonderful travel log . I have been to 36 of the states and you gave me a good view of some of the states I have not yet seen. Great photography and journal. It is wonderful to see you. For all you do may God give you numerous blessings. Please when you come back to the US please post if the Dean will speak in the NY metro area. I would have gone into St Thomas during Holy Week. Also across LI Sound is the North Fork, LI wine country,try to see it. You make a difference in many people’s lives.

Nice to know we have a current resource. I've currently been relying on GCMP from 2 years ago (having started with 2020ff). The prayers and concerns from years past is a barometer to see how God continues working in a world that seems to have gone so far off track. If in human estimation it seems that things may be worse, it provides yet more reasons to step up our prayer lives. The world had great needs when this ministry started , and it seems that there are even greater needs now. Would that the inspiration from GC MP bless and strengthen to be in the world doing the work of Jesus. I'm looking forward to learning more as Dean Willis teaches us each day.

Good Morning, thank you for your comment. In travelling and not having access to my editing computer / programmes that I use to ensure the pictures / sound / added clips etc are of the best quality I am able to make them for you I fear it was not possible to rectify this whilst away and the mic on the morning was being temeramental hence the other film being clearer. Whilst the sound is low if you try turning the volume up on your appliance then you should be able to hear it (remember that if you are watching on a computer then you have two volume controls - the settings for the programme (youtube) and the one on your appliance (computer). I hope this helps and apologies for the inconvenience! X

Also you can call up "live Caption" on your device and that helps. Mind you I am in a library setting so silence is the order of the day unless I use a library computer with headphones and that is not always possible. BLessings - Y

Hi Dear Dean Robert and Fletcher, I simply cannot hear this particular recording on my laptop (checked both settings as advised). Please let us know if and when there are going to be more broadcasts on KZbin. I was coming to the end of the repeated cycle of starting from the very beginning and wondering what to do next when I suddenly came upon the odd Greenwich sermons, and visits to China, Spain etc and then MP from Pawling and my heart rejoiced! Could you give us some indication on the Homepage if and when there are more recordings, so I can look to find them? Thank you and bless you both, and I often wonder how the cats are doing! Good morning, i am sorry you are having difficulty with the KZbin site. I am just wondering, have you clicked to subscribe? It may be that you need to subscribe in order to access the community page?
