If you kill those two fighting dragons Igon will spawn and let you summon him for the final boss of the jagged peak area. Also when you summon him he drops the hardest lines in elden ring so it's def worth it.

Leaving another comment in case Davo sees this- You really have to understand how not only massive, but tightly packed this DLC is. They weren’t kidding about the density, imagine Limgrave/Weeping Peninsula with Liurnia & Altus Plateau underneath, and stormviel, Leyndell and Farum Azula stuffed in there. You HAVE to make sure you look around carefully. Also, don’t forget to turn on the recent items and newly discovered items in the settings bc for some reason they’re not on by default- and finally… I NEED THAT NEXT PART, GET TO EDITING BUDDY ✋🙂‍↕️

So I found your channel by accident while scrolling and I know I might be late by a couple of months but I gotta say welcome to the community bro. It’s always nice to see more people enjoy from’s amazing games. Now I haven’t watched the video yet but let me make something clear in regards to from dlcs- they are notoriously hard ( if you thought malenia was hard, wait till you see some of the new shit Miyazaki cooked up). Here is a bit of advice from someone who has already cleared pretty much everything in the dlc - Scadu fragments are your lifeline. Like the new lv up system is brutal if you don’t engage with it. Low shadow blessing lv usually means getting either one shot or stun locked into oblivion for most builds. Secondly and this might be a bit spoilery but I feel it’s very important- there’s a lot of missable content in this dlc, like way off the beaten path - so do make sure to explore every nook and cranny (this will also help with gathering scadu fragments). Again, it’s such a joy to see more and more new faces in the community that actually engage with the gameplay loop instead of just spamming bad reviews because they got curbstomped by a boss. Enjoy the dlc cuz I certainly did!

For the runes, you could see the descriptions of rune items to see ow much rune they give. I also suggest that because they also have descriptions that progress lore. Like Lord's rune talks about lords, Numen rune talks about numens and Marika's rune talks about marika. So you should definitely check each item description. Even the least valuable items give very good lore bits, like you can learn albinourics are artificial life froms and created by humans from a worthless item Albunioric Bloodclot.

To me its a masterpiece the level design is peak and the bosses are harder than ever and all compelling in their own ways. My favorite thing about you is how you always explore and give credit to the world and level design. Never change in that regard bruh it's so nice to see. Plus in terms of map progress/travel progress you're way ahead of a lot of others I've seen enter the DLC. Can't wait for the next episode, you're close to the top of the mountain where an epic surprise awaits 🔥

@@deathbyslipknot I can't believe you just asked that. How is it peak? EXPLORE AND ENGAGE just explore the map and talk to every NPC you find fight enemies and look at the environment around you! There's literally only one area that's actually behind an invisible wall and even then every other area is fun to explore, and can be found by just exploring. If you're upset that you can't find anything follow messages there's a lot of players actually trying to help find secrets. Plus we're in the early stages right now where there are no guides. If you find something cool that means you're one of the first people to find it. If that's not exciting and peak level design to you idk what to say to you. By all means though slander the peak and wait for a guide instead of actually playing this DLC you paid for.

Davo, check all weapon descriptions. A lot of weapons come with a paired weapon, so two handing them will give you a dual-wield moveset, like the Backhand Blades or Rellana's weapon

As others have said there are a lot more weapons with built in dual wield, the back hand blade being one of them. You just gotta two hand it. And there is more on the top of the mountain you just need to look for it.

you should get the dragon crest greatshield talisman in haligtree, and equip the crimson seed talisman. those two will be your salvation in the DLC. the greatshield talisman for more physical defense and crimson seed for more heals on flask since these guys hits hard. you'll be chuggin your flask way too often.

This is hopefully the last comment I'll drop until Davo drops his vid tomorrow, but this is a reminder to explore the DLC. The DLC has a completely different leveling system than the base game and if you want to get stronger, you have to explore and find Scadutree fragments. They're not just under the crosses, they are EVERYWHERE in the DLC. So hopefully that also means we'll get a lot of videos of Davo exploring :)

Already beat the final boss of the DLC, and I won’t spoil it but I will say that I had to respec my stats to a bleed build at lvl 195 be able to beat it, and even then it took 8 tries. Also, there are a lot of weapons in this DLC that are 2 in 1. Try holding the backhand blades with both hands, and you will dual wield them. Also, when you fight Dryleaf Dane, don’t just walk up to him and kill him. You have to do the gesture you got along with the note near him.

@@chriscofer6780 I'm aware scurdutree only affects dlc but when most bosses drop nearly 6 figures you will over level easily, I started the dlc only recently at level 125 and now I'm level 158 from just exploring no farming, if he does the dlc first he'll over level for the final main game bosses, if he beats the main game first he'll still be fine for the dlc.

insted of calling an enemy weird you could also just see after which moves it takes a break for you to do a jump attack. also after you jump in you attack until you have no stamina left instead of keeping some to disengage. the knight in the fort is not that bad if you just play a bit more patient.
