There's little, if any, difference from how this throw is approached in judo and sambo. I've done both judo and sambo for many years and probably the biggest difference that I can see is that in sambo, we adapt the throw more to the athlete doing it. But that is also the case now for judo as well. We have a series on Tai Otoshi here on our channel that shows many different applications of the throw. Check out our playlist for Tai Otoshi. I appreciate these clips. I see you pull out with the hikite, whereas I pull in towards me. I find that uke seems to crowd me and impede my turn. I need to work on pulling out and away it seems.
