Brilliant video guys enjoy them all just retired in June from quarry/plant hire work for the last 40 plus years, spending my time doing up a 1965 international b414 that my father had from new on the farm he worked on. I learnt to drive on this particular tractor it was just by luck I saw it advertised on market place so I had to have it, keep up the good work hope you all have a great Xmas stay safe

Merry Christmas Baz, the director and the struggler ! I've watched Chris from nearly day one and you're right Baz it does feel like you know someone with seeing them so much in the week! The welding lesson was great and I love it when someone who knows exactly what they're doing shows you years worth of tips In an hour. This is where books and courses are great but it's more about using the equipment safely over technique! What a difference in just a few passes. No more "pigeon shit" for Mr Allen now !😊😊😊 The size of Hurt / Fox is off the scale. Where the lorry park was huge. You just don't get the size of the operation. Amazing 😮😮😮 Those crushers are so simple to think how they work but in practice complex heavy parts to get in place and make them work in tandem with the other components...not an easy task Being able to lay your hand on the right tools ..those tools being of a superior standard make these jobs go so much easier. Watching Chris the first issue was not wearing gloves whilst holding onto the mask with the hand he should be using to support his preferred welding hand. Too much instability and not enough control on the speed of the weld going free hand like that. Sure you can master it after a few years but for someone who isn’t trained and is looking to improve their welding these are the very basics. I learned off a qualified Instructor on the stick as a young blacksmiths apprentice then moved onto a MIG setup once the basics had been sorted out on the Stick. Hours and hours of welding cut off material in the welding bay all shapes and sizes from the thin stuff to the thicker stuff. Then onto Brazing with my boss. I didn’t finish my apprenticeship and moved onto construction but it’s amazing how the basic fundamentals stay locked in there even years after in the forces I ended up doing my own welding on wagons. Later ended up in an Engineering Factory in the Northwest fabricating Hydraulic and Diesel Tanks then onto seam welding Dipper arms for Atlas HIAB ‘s on a seam welder. I’ve not Brazed anything for well over 30 year but can still smell that smell of the flux even to this day. Love watching this Channel and the challenges you meet when rectifying issues on site Baz it totally ticks all the boxes for me as both an Operative and former Apprentice Blacksmith. Watching your problem solving whilst thinking out loud is invaluable in my opion and a must for any young fabricator or fitter out there. 🤜🏼⚡️🤛🏼

New sub coming over from The Struggler..... even learnt a few things about welding too. Only do a spot of DIY welding, but got myself a new gasless mig / stick inverter unit the other week and will be trying it out soon with some exhaust pipes to weld up on my car!! Any tips?? 🤣One thing my old man never actually taught me as a youngster!! With you about family.... lost my old man to cancer 8 years ago lung cancer, probaby due to fumes etc as he worked in dust extraction installations at foundries. Then my sister to secondary cancer back end of 2020 with her hubby passing 8 days later with a cardiac. Not to mention my brother in '97 to a motorcycle accident despite being an instructor and team corporal of the legendary White Helmets - totally feel your pain chap. Your final words are true to point.... we are here for a good life and not a long life. Enjoy it whilst you can and live for every moment as if it's your last. You both seem like a great laugh, and the way you looked after Chris was class. Top stuff gents, have a great new year!

Got to your channel from the struggler. What you do is incredible. What welding overalls do you use and what are the quick release fittings you use on the oxypropane?

Absolute quality video as always, excellent seeing Chris up with you and director, foxy has some amount of service vans kicking about!!, big shout to your snap on man, proper service right there, where I stay the snap on man is piss poor, never shows up , nowt in van and you can forget warranty!!! 🙄, waited over 6 month for a 1/2 to 3/8 step down, sacked it off and now buy anything snap on!, Definitely get the 2 wee lassies in for a welding course, be good to see them getting into the graft, hope you all had a good Christmas and looking forward to next video

I own a 40 amp gas-less mig and the earth is negative as it’s hardwired, my welds are hopeless , unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances I ended up broke and on a disability pension, I feel there just isn’t enough amps to do a decent weld, any advice is welcomed, regards Andy Australia.

Baz let Fox buy you a induction heater insted of that yellow bottle propane. I have it in my van for emergency roofing repair (Yes i am a flat roofer in Sweden) and if the weather gets to cold that will not do nothing. Induction heater is the way to go for the line of work you do
