I thing that is the most difficult thing in the robot pipe welding. How perform a full penetration in start/stop place without grinding? I suspect why you still haven't got an answer :)

Will robots be able to perform the fit up Like type the blueprint in the computer and dimensions Etc and will a robot cut a pipe to length ..oxy cut a few holes ..put the flange on the PUP or main pipe weld it all ..done move on to the next project…?

Now this will work ... just ironing small stuff - the whole pipeline must rotate around the stationary robot arm ...

Thanks for your comment. Our solution is for prefab spools, similar to sub arc. We are stationary at 1G rolled, with a big increase in productivity.

We have two of them, certainly doesn't put anyone out of work.

Quite the opposite, we create more work for pipe fitters, welders, etc. Companies that have used our Spool Welding Robot can shorten timelines and win more projects, therefore increasing their workforce specifically in welding and fabrication.

@@NovarcTechnologiesIncVancouver less men on certain jobs You won’t have fire watches and unfortunately I don’t think it would work in the field. There’s been plenty of pipe I’ve seen it has to be changed or altered in the field because the shop got the wrong measurements.

It’s trash. All it shows is the welding and not the support team it takes to actually set up the weld. Everyone I know that has experience in using this machine tells me it’s not worth it. Leave the pipe welds to the professionals. The robots are not needed.
