Was thinking yesterday about the Hudson. I owned more muscle cars and trucks than VW's 56 Gia 59 & 66 bug I enjoyed the simplicity and durability of the VW's. Renobug is a very cool project!!

Looking good Div, it's the little details like closing in different areas that makes a big difference to the finished product. The more of those tedious bits you do makes it look more like it's supposed to be that way. By the time you're done it will look so factory, people will say they didn't know Reno used VW running gear, or they didn't know VW used Reno bodies.

Lekka Boet Lekka. You should make you a car mover.. Really called a caravan mover..it hooks to the caravan hitch. You can make one from a starter motor..and a battery. Need a solid wheels maybe a jacking mechanism. It can pull or push your cars around one man style. Its a bit of fun for a Afro Engineer. ,😂😂. Good job Diff. Be good to see the Hudson back. My Sheet metal forming skills tech college teacher, a long time ago, astounded the class with his "party trick", oxy butt welding aluminium Coke can pieces together. Dear Dif 👍👌👏 "Weld" done again, Sir. A lot of fabrication has already gone and still has to go into the Renaultbug. I'm especially curious about what kind of steering wheel you will put in. I was very impressed how the fabrication of the wooden steering wheel rim turned out. But of course now it has to be something yellow. Maybe the Froot could be used for spares along with the Jack & wheel bece that could fall out the opening. It might pay to put a bit of mesh in place of panels if you don't want to seal it up 🤔. Keep up the good work, cheers from Australia. 😃👍

Them Brits taught you guys wrong with that boot and bonnet stuff. It was named "trunk" because originally it was a steamer trunk strapped on the back of a model T. A "boot" will not hold very much unless it's chest waders.
