The EasySplicer is nice. But in several Place´s this will not work today (Only 2 motor) You need a Core Splicer that make the core aligne in the end! (6 motor) Hope that you look fore the Core splicer in the future. Active Clad splicer /4 motors. This everybody will use in a near future. (I think) Core ore Active Clad splicer (6 - 4 motors) Not 2 motors that EasySplicer use today. Ribbon fiber is the future: R4 and R8 in Sweden: The world use all R fibers! R2 / R4/ R6/ R8/ R10 /R12,* I have seen R24 in the future. But in the world there is R12 Normaly R12 UPC Multimode OM3 Some time R12 Multimode OM4 APC and UPC . DataCenter. Then you have to use Ilsintech, Fujikura/ Sumitomo, Furukawa( FITEL) splicers.

That is not true at all, if a core alignement splicer works, the EasySplicer also works.

Have you used a fiber that don´t have the fiber in center. Then you got problems.

Mr Andersson, we recommend to use EasySplicer in non-critical instalations like LAN or CCTV fiber conncections. Everytime installation has many splices in optical way or will be used by operator for example for PON technoplogy we suggest to use more advanced splicers like those You mention. As our customers starts to work with more and more complex installation we about to introduce new type of more advanced splicer. Not sure which one it will be yet. Regarding Ribbeon - in Poland, where we mostly operate, it is not popular at all. Could You tell more about this? Which installation in Sweden use ribbon type fiber optics cables?| Regards DIPOL Team

No bad, I tried it out but it Only does cladding alignment , for the price you are better off with a Japanese or Korean fusion splicer that does both Core and Cladding alignment.

Here is the problem with EasySplicer: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4XVpKZomKhspbM Can not make a normal FTTx splice. And if you use Multimod fiber OM1 - OM4 maby OM5 in the future* You can NOT use EasySplice. This is only for Singelmod fiber in a Clean workplace.* Clean products (Fiber/ holders/ Lense/ V-Groove/ Cutter/ and more !

Mr Andersson, the problem from the movie is typical problem with dirt in v-groove. As splier has only 2 motors and cannot position fibers in vertical position automatically, we need to care about keeping v-groove cleaning. The man on movie tries to clean them several times, but he does this a little wrong way. The best way to this is put fibers like for splicing, put the fiber clamp down and then just take fiber holders and move them right and left gently. Thats its. This way helps in 9 per 10 situations and last 10 seconds. If dirt sticks to the v-groove then you can use razor blade to get it out and then fibers like descibed. Regarding OM fibers we do not see any reason why You cannot use EasySplicer - You can. You just need to be carefull while splicing different standards like OM1 and OM2 because of the different core size or OM2 with OM3 or 4 because of different chemical structure of fiber. EasySplicer will splice it, but You always need to check splice attenuation using a meter. Connecting same standards is not so dangerous. If by "Multimode" you meant "Ribbon OM" of course You are right, but Ribbon is Ribbon, OM is OM. Regards DIPOL Team
