Great video, I just wanted to touch on the pressure part. I used to refill these kegs for my homebrew, on the end the ball is just held in there with a flat spring steel clamp that you can CAREFULLY remove with two flathead screwdrivers and then the ball connection and whole spear comes out thus relieving all the pressure. Inspiring build though I may have to source some materials for this
@AustinHargett6 ай бұрын
Thanks! Should’ve done it that way. I got a lot of pressure out.. not enough to prevent a nice beer fart to the face

Im a home shop mud dauber and don't have much stainless experience. Any issues using a plasma torch on stainless? thanks, loved the video.
@Seraphim_Metal_Works7 ай бұрын
Cut a little on the outside of your lines. The plasma cutter will burn the metal and you'll need to grind back into good stainless afterwards
@notanymore94717 ай бұрын
Cut off wheel is better. Stainless doesn’t like the oxygen in the air and has really hard dross that eats up abrasives. Cut off wheel makes a nice clean cut.
@AustinHargett7 ай бұрын
It cuts it with just a little more needed amps. But like these guys said, you’ll need to grind the dross off to weld it
@MrLatimer916 ай бұрын
you should be able to cut stainless with ease with a plazma cutter.

That's awesome. But to buy all the tools you used to make that would cost anyone else a bunch more than you paid for the material. Wish I had a work shop like yours.

You’re lucky that ring didn’t blow up in ya face. Any time you work with kegs you need to properly remove the stem before cutting/welding on it. They can be pressurized relatively significantly.
