For the people saying that she is judgmental, I would say it’s a pretty fair assessment. She has a choice to be around people who smell like weed. Many people choose not to be around people who smell like cigarettes. She said she didn’t judge if people used it. He could have taken an edible and smelled fresh. That smell is offensive to some people, just like cigarettes and perfumes. And not everyone wants to be around it.

I’ve had people say I smelled like weed before and it’s embarrassing for sure, I didn’t smoke all the time but I didn’t bother to change my clothes etc…before I left the house. If he smokes a lot that’s fine as long as he finds someone who’s okay with it and he keeps his priorities straight. but yeah going in on the first date smelling like gas and not caring is crazy. Good on her for setting her boundaries and not accepting that kind of energy into her life and good on him for being himself ig. 😂

Everyone is entitled to their boundaries and preferences when it comes to relationships. …and I don’t even disagree with her in this particular case. I smoke daily - and for legitimate reasons (chronic pain and PTSD), but I’d never show up to a first date smelling like a bong. That could very easily be construed as disrespectful. …for the same reason it would be disrespectful to show up to a first date drunk or coked out. It’s putting out the message that you place more importance on getting high than you do on being present and sober while getting to know someone new. It also sends the message that you don’t really care about first impressions. Some women might be 100% fine with all that, but this one is not. …and that’s her right.
