Well-established ‘Craft Bazaar’ attracts visitors during G20 Summit in J&K

Well-established ‘Craft Bazaar’ by Govt attracted visitors during the G20 summit in Srinagar valley. The unique ‘Craft Bazaar’ with beautiful stalls installed by artisans of the valley gave a picturesque view that attracted delegates. The Bazaar was established by the Department of Handicraft and Handlooms on the back lawns of SKICC. The artisans also gave live demonstrations of different crafts including wood carving, paper mache, willow wicker, shawl work and many more. The Director of Handicraft & Handloom stated that the unique theme was in view of the acceptance of Creative Skills by the UNESCO. The purpose of this special and unique ‘Craft Bazaar’ was to give new heights to art and artisans of the valley. The visitors thanked the government for the establishment of the ‘Craft Bazaar’ and claimed that it must be promoted.

Yes but we don't have the means to export our crafts . We are never provided with the facilities for exporting to outside the kashmir. So we have to sell it at very cheap price to the tourists and locals .
