Just wanted to say, that 8 years later, this is still an awesome flow.

9 months on since starting as a beginner. I can now do nearly all your videos without falling over. Your instruction is excellent and I liked the reassurance (on another video) that not all bodies will be fully flexible. I do yoga daily, so that is about 250 yoga sessions of about 30 - 40 minutes. My body has never felt better. Being in my 50s, I had a lot of aches and pains and postural problems. I now feel like a new woman. Thank you so much for your time and effort making these videos. They have been life-changing for me. (I have to give a huge thanks to Lesley Fightmaster too, another great instructor )

I am so glad I found your channel! This was a quickie but perfectly well rounded. I just followed your voice bc it did not match with what he was doing. Perfect warm up before a jog! I can't wait to try more of your videos!
@YogaDose9 жыл бұрын
DrJoberry Sweet Awesome! Actually, "they" don't really recommend stretching before a jog anymore. Maybe big movements for 2 minutes, like hi knees a few quick lunges, jumping jacks and arm and leg swings or something like that. Then, Ideally you would do your jog to warm you up and then your yoga practice to stretch out after to help the muscles recover.

Hey Tim! I have read all the books by the famous runners as a PT I know not to over stretch my hammies before a run but as I am super tight anyways I always feel like a dynamic stretch like your flow makes my runs feel better and I can get better ROM on my stride. I go for the longer holds afterwards and long yin practice once a week :)

Hi Tim, I am a great fan of you. I am glad that i found you. I will be very great full to you if you could to some demos on how to do certain poses, i.e stepping forward from down dog. When i try to take my right or left leg it just stops half way, i cannot seem to carry them all the way between my hands. Thanks Regards Khalid Khokhar.
@YogaDose9 жыл бұрын
+Khalid Khokhar Hi Khalid. That's pretty common. I would try putting blocks under your hands. The more flexible you get the easier it will become. But for now try using blocks and engage your core when stepping, and it will make it much easier
@khalidkhokhar55479 жыл бұрын
Thanks Tim, i will try that. Keep up the good work. Regards Khalid

Hey +YogaWithTime ! Your videos are really great, i love your channel so much! You're great at what you do! I've been doing yoga in accordance with your videos for a week now, and I was wondering which (existing) workout videos i should do, or if there are other workouts i should do? I want to lose weight, but do not want to put strain on myself. so which workout videos do you recommend i do for weight loss and building muscle. Reagards Happy Fan

+Mahmood Khan Hi, great question. Your weight if mostly affected by your diet. Any of the videos will help to make your body healthy.

And a follow up question: How will I know when to stop pushing myself if I can't do the stretch or movement properly? When must I stop pushing myself, what should be the limit that I exert myself when doing these yoga movements? Sorry for all the questions, I just want to strengthen my core, lose weight and build muscle and become just like you

Hey Tim so I just did this and although I enjoyed it, I have some feedback. 1) I think you may need to work on really sync-ing the audio and the video clip more accurately. 2) Give more breath cues for the other asanas other than simply the vinyasa. Overall, I liked the sequence. Thanks!

Ciggy Drags Hi Ciggy, thanks for your feedback. This wasn't me practicing so I was on the fly doing the voice over. Watch some others and I think you'll find they match up a bit better.

I wish I could give you a thumbs up every time I watch your videos! I have a question about the positon of the feet in Warrior 1 an Warrior 2. Is the alignment of the feet the same in both postures? Regards Robert
@YogaDose9 жыл бұрын
+animal liberation Depends on your body and who you ask. The general rule is heel to arch for warrior 2 and heel to heel for 1, but if your less open I would do heel to heel for 2 and a small gap between the feet for 1.

Indeed another well rounded routine. The gentleman enjoys the same level of flexibility as myself, so I feel very much "at home". Tim, May I bother you with a question? By now, I am 67, and due to various injuries in my earlier sporting life, I am not able to run or swim anymore, and certainly not able to play soccer, which I also did for almost 40 years. Is there any cardio exercise that you could recommend to me. The only other thing next to my daily yoga exercise is walking. Thank you again for your excellent teaching, and be assured, that I tell all my friends!
@YogaDose9 жыл бұрын
andrederksenable Its very hard to tell without seeing you in person and learning about your constitution. Im sorry I can't give you a definite answer. I would recommend finding a very skilled senior Iyengar yoga teacher and body worker nearby and start working with them regularly. The other thing you might want to do is begin your meditation practice and embrace the new phase elf life you're entering. According to the stages of life for yoga practice when a yogi turns they turn into their meditative pursuits. Important to keep the body healthy, but give up the idea of the body doing what it once did, as hard as that may be to swallow.
@andrederksenable9 жыл бұрын
Yoga With Tim Thank you very much for your time and wise words. Yes, I should do things that are appropiate to my age and physical condition. There are moments when I act according to hat principal, but, there are other occasions when I watch a video showing an advanced Yoga sequence leading me into a competitive mood. I know it is wrong! I have read the major Yoga publications, and agree that the usual sporting ambitions do not make sense, thus I should know better, but sometimes....By the way, I like your videos because you are teaching a perfect mix of Iyengar and Vinyasa Flow. I shall intensify my meditation praxis and try to find an Iyengar teacher and take it from there.
