The album is called "the mouse and the mask" and is an adult swim themed album combining the talents of Daniel Dumile (MF Doom) and Brian Burton (Dangermuose) the pair perform under the moniker "DangerDoom". My favorite track off the album is "space hos". If you watched the Brak show, or Spaceghost, you will enjoy it too.

watching someone discover DOOM for the first time is always dope. His music is like an abstract painting that famous painters deem a "masterpiece" and most ppl look at and think it's trash or weird. But he is rlly a top 5 emcee of all time. His lyrics seem like nonsense at first, but he has meaning with everything he says. The song "that's that" literally sounds like someone just blurting out every rhyme they can think of. But the song has crazy depth to it. Keep checking out his stuff it's great. I love that you're reacting to MF DOOM! When it comes to DOOM names are always complicated. Madvillain is the name of the "group" of MF DOOM + producer Madlib. He also goes by Viktor Vaughn when the track is about himself as a teenager, King Gedorah or King Ghidra, Metal Fingers, DANGER DOOM and JJ DOOM. Also if I'm not mistaken this song was on the boondocks and DOOM himself collaborated a lot with Adult Swim, sampled sounds from Adult Swim shows. He also presented a Christmas special in the network

madvillainy is such a great album. it's only 46 minutes despite having 26 songs and it somehow doesn't feel bloated at all. madvillainy is what happens when one of the best rappers and one of the best producers team up. madlib beats are crazy and mf doom is an amazing lyricist (for example, that's that is a song with an insane flow and every word rhymes). he can also rhyme stuff like eyjafjallajökull like it's nothing

Yeah, so glad you took my suggestion! (which I’m sure many others suggested too) I got a little nervous that you’d like it haha. Background: “Madvillian” is the name they gave to the collaboration between MF DOOM and Madlib (the producer who creates all the tracks in the album and is known for his unique/obscure samples that you would never expect to hear in a hip hop album). The intro was taken from some random filler music found in one episode of the show “The Streets of San Francisco” from the 70s, the piano riff and the flutey music were taken from an equally obscure episode of “Ironside,” another 70s crime drama. Credit for the background info goes to the Dissect podcast, I didn’t find those sources on my own lol.

Hey this is quite a long comment and just a recommendation. I don’t want to tell you how to enjoy the many incredible works of the Villain by any means but I couldn’t help but compile a list on how I think you might get the most out of all the hidden meanings themes and references throughout DOOMS career. Your next reactions should be: 1.that’s that - born like this - MF DOOM (Just because it’s a crazy showcase of the levels of techniques that DOOM has (it would make a great reaction without any knowledge or context to DOOMS sound) 2.MM… FOOD - MF DOOM This is a whole album that you should listen to before reacting to anything else. It’s a concept album about food and a great starting point to get used to DOOMS way of writing, rhyming, storytelling and character. You can very well cut the reaction up in multiple videos like you did with Kendrick. The album has four instrumental tracks that are reminiscent of tv commercials that don’t feature any rapping and they could very well be put in one video but definitely don’t skip them and pay attention to the samples. 3./4. Vaudeville Villain - Victor Vaughn / Operation Doomsday - MF DOOM It doesn’t really matter which you listen to first. Victor Vaughn is an alterego of DOOM and the album is a little bit more recent, while Operation Doomsday is actually the first album ever released under the MF DOOM name. 5.Madvillainy - Madvillain This album is a collaboration with the highly respected producer Madlib and by many regarded as MF DOOMS magnum opus. Enjoy! - [ ] Now you can basically check out anything the supervillain has ever made it’s all fire. MF DOOM might be the best rapper of all time but he also dropped one of the best series of beat tapes in all of time of which a few of actually turned into songs later down the line called special herbs if you just want the vibes without the rapping. 7:53 from what i know, music without actual instruments is done with 2 methods 1. sythezising: sometimes it sounds unnatural and acoustic instruments are better most of the time 2. stealing (legally). everyone samples. madlib, mf doom (who also produces), kanye west and pretty much any producer. this may not always work though leaving the songs unreleased like kendrick lamar's cartoon and cereal (masterpiece) because the original creators didn't approve of it

Correct, and according to the Dissect podcasts a few of the samples on this track came from obscure 70s crime dramas (and not the theme music either, like random filler music used to transition between scenes). People like to trash the use of samples, but some folks like Madlib make it an art to put such unrelated pieces of music together into a gem of a track.
