I am desperately trying to go more ash to embrace the grey / white coming through, so need an all over colour to blend with my roots not cover them. I had been using koleston perfect for years usually level 8 or 9's either 99/0 with 9/16 but it's now too warm and after a few washes brassy yellow again! I spent out at hairdressers and i'm no different now than before. My roots are mostly lighter and ashy anyway, could you possibly tell me if what you used here could work? I would really appreciate some advice. Thank you so much

All colour washes up warm/gold so maybe embracing your natural going forward is the way to go as white/grey hair is the perfect cool tone. You could also use a semi permanent or Demi to blend rather than cover up your roots with a permanent. Hi lights with a toner is also another option as it will help mingle in your own natural hair. Я хотела чтоб ушла желтизна и посветлели, а они наоборот потемнели 😔 отенок красивый, но так как у меня самой цвет волос русый то мой airtouch практически сравнялся теперь с моим цветом.. 😔 Как быть?

My starting point was level 9 blonde and a hi-lighted look. So depending on your starting point will depend on the result you get from these shades. It will fade as you wash it. You may not have been blonde enough to start with if your hair was yellow. Let me know how it washes out and fades 🤞🏼

Keep to level 9/ next time when using shinefinity. Shades 8/ may be to dark

Hey 💓 I've had the same experience. My problem was the 08/98 which always darkened the end result. It turned out light ash blonde everytime, looking STUNNING, but I wanted to keep my white Icy blonde hair, so now I only use 09/61. If I want a bit of a shadow for a natural look, then I go for 08/98 for the roots only. Hope this helps 💓 wishing you the best 🥰 keep in mind result may vary depending on your starting colour ✨

Ps. I used to mix 08/98 with 09/61 on bleached white hair, no yellow ✨ and the result was beautiful but super dark. That's why I don't use 08/98 so often anymore.

All depends on starting point. Are you toning pre lightened hair and what level? Full head or lights ?

I would look at shades 06/73, 09/73 and 05/37 all of these can be intermixable and you can always add 0/00 to make lighter or soften the colour

@@hairupideas Wouldn't 06/73 and 05/37 be very dark? Or would it be a case of mixing just 5g grams of that in with the 09/73? Would I need something with violet as well to cancel out the yellow?

I suggested 0/00 to make the colours lighter. It’s your choice on what shade you prefer and how light/dark you want your caramel. We all interpret colour so differently. 06/73 and 09/73 would be a good mix but that’s my take on what I like my caramels to look like.

Mixing Shinefinity formula - I used 15g of each shade and gel crème with Brush & Bowl technique 1:1 mixing ratio. 30g colour + 30g activator (60g in total)

No Welloxon ! Shinefinity developer (bowl & Brush) Shinefinity never mix with Welloxon.

Mix equal parts of Wella shinefinity and developer. Apply to hair. Process according to desired shade. 10-20 mins. Ensure your starting point has been lightened to a level 9- 10 to get the best results.

Yes there are two types of developer. One for bowl and brush and other for bottle application. It’s all down to preference which you choose

No way from light blonde become very dark blonde never ever 20 minutes, and didn't wash out very soon 😢 So just be very, very careful if you don't want to have a shock after like I was having.

Thank you Sandra for your expert opinion. You are 100% right in that I worked my magic turning golden hi lights into a grey blended colour which in fact my customer loved. Maybe you can become a lover of yellow or grey in the future 🤭
