So this mobilization cost rule is a way of modeling fatigue for the army as a whole? Interesting mechanism.

That's my guess. A mix of fatigue and actual morale.

@calandale I think one of the new Eylau games does something similar, but with blocks that you spend to do things and that you lose when bad things happen. And you lose the game when you run out, which I guess represents the rout of your army.

Canned beans. Of all sorts. They are the best to stock up on.

Cans are heavy. I do have a few bags of dried beans. Or can run to the place that's only a 25 min walk and get stuff. But, I like things I can eat easily and enjoy.

Dang, sorry to hear you are not feeling great. If it offers any consolation, I cna tell you that there's a flu going around on this side of the pond and huge numbers of peple are sick here as well.

Given that you refuse to use living rules, I think you had better wait until the 2d edition of the WW1 strategic game before committing to it.

I use errata. If they don't provide any, that's their doing.

FWIW though, Harper's rules, even once 'perfect' are often very very troublesome for me - at least so far. Something to do with insular development only done by online groups of fans of his systems, without actually having an independent developer and testing by people not already in the fanboi status.

I don't think the nearby liquor store will be open.

It pains me to say this...knowing the pain it causes you..... Struggle of Nations!!! Pursuit is built in and save us fools but struggle provides the map n terrain and la batt gives you the chits. Lutzen n dresden provides more then enough. Ya. Life expectations truly becomes a issue. 😂

All the zucker ops games work the same way, more or less. But, they're not battles. Struggle is most interesting due to the tiny hexes and deployment being obvious. The rules (easily repairable if you know the rest of the series) are among the very worst every produced though, and the stupid board type that AH used is horrible for a hex-and-counter wargame, multiplied by 1000 due to the tiny hexes; mine is in pieces.
