Wellington (Somerset) Tour | March 2022

Wellington in Somerset is the location for this week’s video. Join me on a walk around this lovely, bustling town that is home to many local independent shops and traders aswell as having a wonderful park and lots of green spaces.
In the video I explore Wellington Park, The Basins, The town’s independent shops, The Emporium where 55 local businesses trade from and I also visit Brazier Coffee Roasters in the Tonedale area, in a former mill building near the former railway station which was closed in 1964 as part of the Beeching cuts.
I did not mention in this video the Farmers Market, the monthly street market or the annual Eat Festivals, all of which are lovely community events. I look forward to sharing those with you at a later date. There are also some other places of beautifulness and interest that I did not show on this occasion, but plan to in future videos.

Wellington is a really nice town. So many independent shops. The basins make for a really nice stroll. Currently there are ducklings there. So cute and fluffy!

Fabulous Louise! This video is doing well 🙂👍Great work. I've not been there before, so it is one to add to my list. I have seen ha-ha's before, but never one in a recreation ground! Another lovely video!!! And you've really highlighted so many great sights that I want to visit again (cake testing along the way too! ) So many lovely independent shops here! ps . that haha wall looks lethal!!! I hope there have not been too many accidents!

Thank you Alex 😊 I agree about the haha wall looking lethal. I have not heard of any accidents but they could so easily happen 😧 The independent shops are fab. I knew there were loads but it really struck me on Friday when I went to get footage just how many there are. The high street was really busy and bustling. Great to see! There were so many shops that did not make it into this video and many of the lovely local people have suggested some more interesting sights to include too, so I think there will have to be at least a part 2 😊 I discovered a new independent coffee and cake shop in town while I was getting footage, so need to try that out soon too 😊

Such a nice video to show me how much the town I grew up in has changed since I last saw it a couple of years ago. The music s a bit loud though, so your narration isn't really audible.
