Hey Jennifer! Apologies for the late response, I had a bit of a break :-) Ok so I was using cacao every single day I would say for the last 5 months... I was really enjoying it, I was also drinking coffee heavily every day (around 4 strong coffees pd). A few weeks ago, I started getting a little bit of anxiety, as in, shortness of breath. Not to dissimilar from most people I am sure, considering what is going on in the world rn. Anyway I stopped the coffee and the anxiety didn't stop, I stopped the cacao and the anxiety DID stop. Now this could be the high iron levels, or the fact that I've been taking cacao every day pretty much since I posted this video. So I've stopped now and rarely have it. I could say there was a small benefit of course, but it's so hard to know when I know how much effect "placebo" has, so I would have to say it didn't impact my life much, other than making my smoothies taste better :-)

@@jimmyatom if it didnt benefit you, why did you continue to drink cacao for so long..5months!??

@@james575730 I read so much about the benefits of cacao, there is so much evidence to suggest its health benefits, and I do not doubt most of the evidence (even though you really need to scrutinise who funds the science) but I was just feeling slightly different each day a couple of hours of taking it but this only happened after 5 months. I went to the doctor and my iron levels are naturally high, so this could for example be a slow build up of iron from the cacao. But it could be any of the other ingredients, it's very hard to tell. I stopped using cacao altogether. However, now I just use cacao as a flavouring in a smoothie maybe once a week, twice maximum and don't notice any negative effects. I hope that answers your questoin?
