Thank you so much for this question! Firstly, the retreat organizers greeted us with flowers in our rooms and I had the idea of offering them to the waters when we left. Then in a more personal level and perspective; in a lot of traditions around the globe including my own (peruvian amazonian) we believe that when we do offerings it is not offering the left overs but actually what is useful and needed in our lives. I felt a little discouraged by this as I had the same concern as you, that is when I decided that if I'd be ending flowers' lives then I better be planting a hell lot of flowers too! This summer I grew over 100 flowers and I only wish to be capable of planting more each year 🤍 Would love to hear your thoughts on this!

Caro Arevalo thank you for your reply. I thought it was very unlike you to cut any type of plants just for the sake of it, but now I understand why you do it. You are always kind and thoughtful and it makes sense that you grow flowers to make up for the ones you have cut. Beautiful way to keep the traditions and respect your values. Lots of love 💕
