Thank you EG and everyone. I wrote this track in the midst of an intense time of, well, soul-searching. I was questioning everything - my music, my life, my direction, my decisions, my ability to keep up with all of life's many demands... And yet I somehow found this unexplainable peace through it all. My soul search isn't done. I don't know if it ever will be. But I'm learning to enjoy the journey more than finding my destination. ❤ p.s. this is track 1 of 9 that will be on my upcoming ALBUM! Stay tuned; it's a project that's been in the works quite a while. :)

@@tmanjangles2570 Here in Germany in November 2023, I saw two dark gray, almost black UFOs when I looked out the window. They were shaped like a flat bowl that you turn over or like the old-fashioned round loaves of bread. About the width of a small truck. No lights, sounds, markings, welds, windows, doors, wings, tail, rotors, turbines, landing skids, undercarriage, heat turbulence, contrails, nothing. They looked like they were made from one piece. They had rounded edges. One stood in one place for minutes as if it was scanning the surroundings, the other flew at walking pace. The whole thing lasted 15 minutes or more. Before that, in September 2023, while walking with my girlfriend at the time, I saw a UFO that was camouflaged as a dark cloud a few hundred meters above the ground. The two sightings were less than 2 km apart and practically right on my doorstep. They also appeared just before dusk. I served in the army aviation corps, I know everything that flies around here, I've never seen anything like it. These aren't secret military aircraft either. I found the rather unusual type of UFO in a report of a UFO sighting in Hessdalen, Norway in 1984. Exactly the same shape. When I looked in vain on the Internet to see if anyone else here had seen them, I learned that there has been a UFO wave over the Ukraine for a long time, where masses of dark UFOs (they call them phantoms) have been sighted, some of which were floating completely motionless in place. And mine were flying in exactly that direction. Not much is being reported about this UFO wave, not like the Belgian UFO wave back then. Even NASA commissioned a study in Ukraine. You can read all about it. Ukrainian soldiers also filmed a dark cigar-shaped UFO right at the front with thermal imaging drones, a mother ship. You can watch it here on KZbin. The ones I saw were the size of dinghies and were scanning the area. They won't show themselves officially, they won't interfere, and they won't help us. They're still studying us.

Hello there! I am the creator of this track - I can explain a bit of my creative tools and process. I use Ableton Live for my DAW (digital audio workstation). I mostly rely on software synthesizers like Arturia's Mini V and a free wavetable synth called Vital. I think this track is only those two synths. My songwriting process generally is to create a simple chord patch and add some fun effects like reverb, delay, distortion, etc. to make the chord sound more interesting. Then I write the music based on the sound and the feeling it's giving me; sometimes I'll write a musical idea first and then apply a sound later, but that's rarer for me. For this track, I came up with the main chord sound and wrote the progression in response. I added the bass line with another simple patch and processing, added the drums, and then I knew I had something cooking. It's hard to describe the process after that - I just add a bunch of layers, melodies, etc. and move them around until it sounds coherent and emulates the emotion I'm feeling. I'm a very emotion-based writer, so I try to make every element reflect that. If you're interested in learning more about this genre and how to make it, the Chillsynth Discord is a great community to join - lots of free resources, people to talk to, and some artists even make breakdowns of their music available to see how it's all made. I've been thinking about doing a track breakdown or two myself :)
