Hello. I do have two questions: 1) What if the lock runs out of batteries? 2) If the reset button is outside, isn't that a risk that someone else could reset it and delete your configurations and insert his instead?

2. factory reset will erase all guest and administrator data from the lock. yes. they could lock in as admin. i think. best you forward your questions to welock.

1. What if my smart lock battery is empty? Welock smart locks have more than 1 year of battery life based on 10 unlocks per day. If your lock runs out of power! You can use a portable charger to unlock the lock until you can replace the battery. Please know that Welock Smart Lock does not support charging. ① Use USB to power the lock. ② Open Welock App switch to the unlock interface, click the USB icon on the right side of the unlock button to switch to USB unlock mode, click to unlock.

That's cool, but I believe no one wants to be unable to get into their homes without having to break the door even if the frequency of that happening is once a year. Of course, one can always have a portable charger. But that is even bulkier then a mechanical key and can be lost or forgotten elsewhere just like any other item. When I'm thinking of a backup for a door lock, I'm thinking it shouldn't depend on electricity at all. Anyway, thanks for making it clear to me about this lack of feature. It really matters, especially because I live alone and if I would be unable to open the door when outside, I would have to sleep on the street like a homeless until next day when, busy or not, I should go get a power bank first.

the app will let you know the battery life. dont use recharger battery for this. so you wont know. unless u choose to ignore.
