Welcome to the wonderful world of "Warriors and Weirdos" (AURORA's fans, that is). She is not only a great singer and talented artist. She has a unique personality as well, with a vivid imagination and clear views on the world around her and on the world as a whole. This time line shows how talented she is: Age 6: Started to follow dance lessons Age 6: Started to compose melodies Age 9: Started writing lyrics in her second language English Age 14: Her family discovered that she wrote her own songs Age 16: Recorded one song ("Puppet") as a gift to her parents Age 16: Performed a self written song ("I Had A Dream") at a school assembly Age 16: Gave up dancing (and her dream of becoming a professional dancer) to focus on singing Age 17: Released her first song "Awakening" Age 18: Released her first EP "Running With The Wolves" Age 19: Released her first full album "All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend" Age 19/20/21: Performed hundreds of live shows during her world tour Age 22: Released her second EP "Infections Of A Different Kind (step 1)" Age 22 (just before her 23rd birthday): Released her second full album "A Different Kind Of Human (step 2)" Age 24: Her song "Runaway" (released in 2015) has gone viral on TikTok, hence turning Runaway into a world wide hit with over 1 million streams daily on Spotify and KZbin Age 25 (today): She recently finished her third full album "The Gods We Can Touch", it will be released next week on January 21, 2022

For your first Aurora reaction, you guys went DEEP! It is a very deep rabbit hole that just happens to be amazing! The reason I say deep, this song is about domestic abuse through the eyes of the person being abused.

The Gem from Norway. Finally, you have reacted to this unique and special artist. You definitely should continue. She has many different sounds and is fabulous live. She is releasing her fourth Album in a week. Lots of great songs to react to if you wish to do so. I would suggest one of her newer ones "Heathens" live performance. Otherwise, anything live from her Nidarosdomen concert is a must. Anything you pick will be great. She has no bad songs.

AURORA is an awesome talent as both singer and songwriter! Astonishing live! She has quite a repertoire of songs at this point (and a rapidly increasing fan base. Since Frozen 2, she has been noticed in the U.S. Already well known in western Europe, Brazil, Japan). Much to recommend for future reactions!

...actually... in 2015 she got some recognition in the US when Katy Perry noticed her and shared the video of Runaway. It is believed that this share was picked up by Billie Eilish, who has named Aurora as one of her biggest inspirations to become an artist. She heard the song and thought: "i want to do that".

Pure art. Love this artist. So underrated even now:). This is also connected with her whole personality. And she learnt to sing and play piano when was child all be herself. She is not only a singer but also songwriter, composer. She started to play music from 6 years old and make lyrics in English from 9 years old. You can check mind blowing song she wrote when was 9 (i guess it has to be polished later but anyway): check Lucky from Nidarosdomen. From more energetic performance you can check All is Soft inside from KEXP 2018 :).

You just opened a rabbithole. It twists and turns dives and rises in ways you won't comprehend. Aurora has a talent unrivalled. To get a good impression of what she is capable of, watch any concert by her. Live, her artistry comes forward even more clear than in het studiorecordings. A good one to start with is Aurora's 2015 contribution to the Nobel Peace Prize Concert, followed by the 2017 concert Nidarosdomen, recorded in the so called cathedral in Trondheim, Norway. Great discovery you made guys. Enjoy the ride.

Nice reaction 👍 Aurora says that the song is about a complicated relationship. Hope you’ll keep reacting to Aurora now, she has a lot of great songs like: “Through the eyes of a child” kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJSqaq2Kr9icqac and “Lucky” kzbin.info/www/bejne/d563mqSIZ8SJd9k live at Nidarosdomen. She wrote Lucky at the age of 9. “Murder Song (5,4,3,2,1) live at the Nobel Price concert 2015 kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJmThIqKi9yLrtk Aurora is a Norwegian singer/songwriter/dancer and music producer. She started at the age of 6, when she found an old electric piano in the attic. She had to hold in the power button, so at first she only played with one hand. She started writing music without lyrics at the age of 6, and with English lyrics at the age of 9. Nobody in her family knew about this, until one day her mother heard her playing guitar and sing, and then she told her family, she was about 13 years old. Aurora actually didn’t want to be an artist, but when her mom said her music was therapeutic to her, Aurora thought that maybe she could help some people. She never thought she would be loved all around the world. She’s so great, I’ve loved her since 2014, and I’ve never heard a bad song from her ❤️

As well as being a brilliant vocalist, lyricist and possessor of peerless performance skills, (check out her live performances from the Nobel Peace prize concert of 2015, Nidarosdomen (Trondheim Cathedral) 2017 and HAIK 2019), Aurora has a distinctive, quirky personality and is very stylish with her dress sense (for example she doesn't like people touching her head and face, so she cuts her hair herself with large pizza scissors and has one of her sisters as her make up artist, while her other sister is her costume designer). You will be even more impressed as you see more of her work, including some excellent covers of other artist's songs (the Beatles, David Bowie, Leonard Cohen).

Wow... I just listened to the LOTR song you said it sounded like. The likeness is very similar! That is crazy. I've only seen the 1st lotr a long time ago. It is a very beautiful song and crazy how much it reminds me of Aurora (knowing Aurora's other songs as well). I am entranced by that song. Aurora has so many more amazing songs... black water lily's live is amazing, murder song, cure for me (a bit different but still good from her). Little boy in the grass mahogany session. Just letting you know if you are interested to watch on your own! This was a great reaction.

Try lucky or Through the Eyes of a Child or Murder Song, from the live concert at Nidarasdomen, all three of which are a step beyond this excellent piece. She completely absorbs herself in her material, and takes music to a new level. Speaking of minimalism, there is a cut of Through the Eyes of a Child that is a cappella and the best a cappella thing ever done. Truly, a one of a kind performance.

I agree about the outfits and I'm one to say you can't shame someone for wearing what they want, or use it as an excuse to be creepy (not you, just people in general). My thought on it is that artists with low talent (you know most popular artists have ghost writers for music and lyrics) only have the look going for them, which is ridiculous and usually mundane, just super artificial. Someone like aurora who can write her own songs and music, sing so amazingly (I feel her voice is still very rare thing even with all the practice in the world, but still) is way more noteworthy and ACTUALLY talented, because many can be taught , put on makeup, get surgery, sing with autotune, etc, but not every can be taught to be empathetic, caring, talented and sing in such an amazing way as I've seen from aurora (you'd have to see more from her to understand, haha). Also alot of people being taught to sing just do the general belting by a vocal coach. Aurora has such control and real feeling. Most other artists, all sound the same to me and really isn't that amazing.

Well done on your livestream! Always a little nerveracking to know there's no going back once it's started LOL. Nice reaction guys but a little bit tame for me I'm afraid. Maybe next time. Liked and subscribed in the hope you do some more Aurora though. She's one of my favourite singer-songwriters. I'm a little surprised that you didn't pick up on what the song was about. It was domestic abuse. You wouldn't think it was that because of the beauty of the song, but it isn't something you should miss. Listen to the lyrics and watch her. She is actually remembering what happened in a certain bad situation she was in - you can see it the body language, the eye position, the fluttering of her hands, the little head twitch/shiver, bouncing on her feet to comfort herself. When she says she can't remember much and that it was in slow motion - that's what happens after the moment of being hit. Soil turning red outside his window? Nope. That was blood. When you get what it's about it gives goosebumps. She comes back at him in the last verse though. Nobody keeps this eco-warrior elven princess down 😆 Beautiful song and so touching. And two beautiful singers who melded their voices perfectly together. You might want to react to some other fantastic Aurora songs: Murder Song (5,4,3,2,1), A Different Kind of Human and Everything Matters. This rabbithole is well worth going down. It only gets better!!

She is as vulnerable as finely spun glass and as strong as high carbon steel. Her art rips you apart and heals you at the same time. Who does that? Her art is almost too intense to bear, but you can't look away. She is a siren in the form of a wood nymph. Resistance is futile!

Late but welcome to the "Warriors and Weirdos" club! She learned piano at 6, wrote songs at 9 and still her journey is growing well! Some background behind it : ❗The following content discusses triggering topics such as sexual assault❗ It possibly talks about rape and revenge, but this depends on the person who listens to the song, as AURORA stated that the songs of this album can have different meanings to everyone depending on how deep you dive into them.

*_"We're not vocal coaches so..."_* You're not?!? I watch a lot of reaction videos....or rather, I watch a lot of _Aurora_ reaction videos, and I was legit beginning to think I was the only person on planet earth who _isn't_ a vocal coach. The "Reaction Video" universe has opened my eyes to many things. For example, there are WAY more vocal coaches than I ever realized existed, or could exist. Or that black people absolutely adore the band Tool. Or that Alice in Chains is apparently "classic rock" now....which I'm still not ok with. Sure hope you guys get back to some more Aurora soon. This performance was an excellent introduction to her. But I'm not sure where you get your suggestions from(your audience maybe?) but most of the other performances I've seen you react to are.....frustratingly middle tier Aurora performances. I mean...they're fine, often great. But the god tier Aurora performances...never seem to make it to your channel. It makes me shed a lil baby tear. 😢

Between all the metal I hear, Aurora is the balance for me. She's awesome. Makes music since she is 6 years old, with 8/9 she wrote her own songs. And if you consider that she already wrote an anti suicide song "Lucky" kzbin.info/www/bejne/d563mqSIZ8SJd9k at the age of 9, then you know that she was already further along than some adults in terms of understanding the world. She composes, writes, sings and produces herself. Absolutely down to earth. Write songs about important topics. This song here, for example, about domestic violence.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with saying someone is attractive, especially when done as respectfully as it was in this video. It was hardly part of their commentary. And acting as if commenting on someone's appearance is some sort of regression of humanity is ridiculous. If you want to shame someone on that virtue, best start with yourself. Labeling the above mentioned behavior as "macho" is blatantly sexist and completely out of touch with modern reality. Commenting on someone's looks is not a male-specific behavior; women are quite prone to it as well.
