Welsh XC MTB Series Rd 3 FOD Worcester Lodge

Join me on my 6th race of 2023 and my 1st 'DNF' ever! - we travel to Worcester Lodge, Forest Of Dean for Rd 3 of the Welsh XC Mtb Series and get to sample some excellent single track flow trails with plenty of steep chutes, roots and tech lines for what should have been 6 grueling laps with a killer steep 3 min climb........ its dry, there's a packed grid and plenty of up hill grinding to be had..... its my 1st time racing this course and i've taken the support / pit crew for extra luck......The Trek X Calibre 9 performed flawlessly - couldn't say the same for my counting ability...... A few things to work on for the next race and plenty of positives to take from my performance..

Top tip: you have to pass everyone in front of you! Different cat, same cat; doesn't matter. Don't let brain trick you into thinking you can 'go easy'. Gotta keep pushing on. 😉 Great commentary as ever.

they split the welsh / southern series for the podiums (3rd in the welsh)
