Y pensar que el peruano Pedro RUIZ GALLO inventó en 1876 un reloj de 11 metros de altura, más de cinco metros de ancho y tenía múltiples funciones como el de izar la bandera del PERÚ a las 5 de la mañana entonando el himno nacional patrio y salía en ese momento dos centinelas que hacían guardia a ese acto y a las cinco de la tarde se repetía el mismo acto pero guardándose la bandera peruana, tenía las fases de la Luna, salían 12 pinturas alusivas a la historia del PERÚ y diversas funciones o melodías. En la guerra de 1879 entre el Perú y Chile (Este último país apoyado por capitales europeos) se llevaron ese hermoso reloj. Se está tomando las medidas para su ubicación o su nueva fabricación o reconstrucción.
