Calgary CTrain in Action - June 2015

Calgary's Light Rail - known as 'CTrain' is the region's highly-efficient light-rail system operated by Calgary Transit.
Two lines are currently operational - the blue line between 69 St and Saddletowne - and the red line between Tuscany and Somerset-Bridlewood. City Hall station is on both routes, while Chinook and Victoria Park - Stampede stations are on the red line only.
Calgary's LRT system is also rather small in scale compared to US cities like Portland and Salt Lake City, so some trains will be seen multiple times.

I love C-train so much. Every morning I have to take C-train to work. Calgary has a nice C-train.

I live in Edmonton. I will admit the Calgary C-Train system is more scenic then Edmonton's LRT system. But the only thing I don't like about the Calgary system is that it's all up ground in the downtown core and it really backs up traffic downtown. Edmonton it's all underground and not tying up traffic downtown

Are the 2 models not compatible. Cuz I only saw the older type cars together and the newer type cars together.

Technically yes - the U2s and the SD160/200 units are not compatible with one-another. The exception is 2101-2102, former ETS units built in 1988 that are electrically-compatible with the SD160s. You can see 2102 with some SD160 units at 5:35 in the video.

You should come back in 2016. We're getting new C-Train cars and they will arrive early next year.

I know this comment is 3 years old but that chirping are crosswalk audio cues for blind people and there is a different tone for both directions
