There is nothing we can do to inherit salvation. It is only by Christ's sacrificial blood shed for us on the cross that covers all sins and makes believers appear blameless before the sight of the Lord. He will remember our sins no more according to Hebrews 8:12. No amount of good works can warrant your salvation! You owe God since you have sinned against a Holy and infinite judge. Justice will be served, that is why we shouldnt take revenge against those who wronged us. Forgiveness and redemption are found in Christ. God came in the form of Jesus to pay the debt we all owed because we can't pay it through any amount of "good works". Romans 4:4-5 "Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners."
